The spec suggests that we should use _OST to notify the platform
about the status of notifications it sends us, for example so that
it doesn't repeate a notification that has been handled already.
This turns out to help reduce the amount of diagnostic output from
the ACPIPHP subsystem and speed up boot on at least one system that
generates multiple device check notifies for PCIe devices on the root
bus during boot.

Sometimes we may get a spurious device check or bus check notify for
a hotplug device and in those cases we should avoid doing all of the
configuration work needed when something actually changes. To that
end, check the return value of pci_scan_slot() in enable_slot() and
bail out early if it is 0.

It might be possible for two callers to race the mutex lock after the
NULL ctx check. Instead, move the lock above the check so there isn't
the possibility of leaking a crypto ctx. Additionally, report the full
algo name when failing.

UIC attributes can be set with using DME_SET command for
power mode change. For configuration the link capability
attributes are used, which is updated after successful
link startup.

IACTH(Interrupt aggregation counter threshold) value is allowed
up to 0x1F and current setting value is the maximum.
This value is related with NUTRS(max:0x20) of HCI's capability.
Considering HCI controller doesn't support the maximum, IACTH
setting should be adjusted with possible value.
For that, existing 'ufshcd_config_int_aggr' is split into two part
[reset, configure].

Unlike 'GOOD' and 'CHECK CONDITION', other status values in
Response UPIU may or may not contain sense data. That is returning
sense data isn't obvious. So, in this case the Data Segment Length
field should be checked. If a non-zero value, it means that UPIU
has Sense Data in the Data Segment area.

When transitioning away from vgacon the system tries to save the
current contents of the VGA memory, so that it can be cleanly handed
off to fbcon (or whatever comes afterwards).

i915: Update VGA arbiter support for newer devices
caused i915 to disable VGA memory decode for the IGD when i915 is
initializing. Unfortunately that happens before the vgacon->fbcon
handoff so vgacon_save_screen() will read out all ones from the
VGA memory.
After the handoff fbcon will inherit the bogus state from vgacon,
and pre-fills the fb with matching contents. The end result is
a white rectangle in the top left corner of the screen, the size
of which matches the now inactive VGA console.
To remedy the situation delay the disabling of VGA memory until
the vgacon->fbcon handoff has happened.
Also rename i915_enable_vga to i915_enable_vga_mem to make
the relationship between these functions clearer.

This patch adds rate tables for PLLs that can be reconfigured at runtime
for Exynos4x12 SoCs. Provided tables contain PLL coefficients for
input clock of 24 MHz and so are registered only in this case. MPLL does
not need runtime reconfiguration and so table for it is not provided.

Since PLL input frequency must be known before PLL registration,
mout_vpllsrc clock which is a reference clock of VPLL must be registered
before VPLL.

Since Exynos does not support legacy non-DT boot anymore, most of clock

There is no need to use clkdev inside the clock driver to retrieve the
clocks for internal use. Instead __clk_lookup() helper can be used to
look up clocks by their platform name.
This patch modifies the behavior of _get_rate() helper to look up clocks
by platform name and adjusts all users of it to pass platform names
instead of clkdev aliases.

Exynos cpufreq driver is the only remaining piece of code that needs
static clkdev aliases for operation, because it can not do device tree
based clock lookups yet.
This patch moves clock alias definitions for those clocks to separate
arrays that can be used with samsung_clk_register_alias() helper.

A recent patch made it possible to bring up the character handle when the
device is responsive but not accepting a set-features command. Another
recent patch moved the initialization that requires we move where the

Commit 4edaa308 "NFS: Use "krb5i" to establish NFSv4 state whenever possible"
uses the nfs_client cl_rpcclient for all state management operations, and
will use krb5i or auth_sys with no regard to the mount command authflavor
choice.
The MDS, as any NFSv4.1 mount point, uses the nfs_server rpc client for all
non-state management operations with a different nfs_server for each fsid
encountered traversing the mount point, each with a potentially different
auth flavor.
pNFS data servers are not mounted in the normal sense as there is no associated
nfs_server structure. Data servers can also export multiple fsids, each with
a potentially different auth flavor.
Data servers need to use the same authflavor as the MDS server rpc client for
non-state management operations. Populate a list of rpc clients with the MDS
server rpc client auth flavor for the DS to use.

TCP receive window handling is multi staged.
A socket has a memory budget, static or dynamic, in sk_rcvbuf.
Because we do not really know how this memory budget translates to
a TCP window (payload), TCP announces a small initial window
(about 20 MSS).
When a packet is received, we increase TCP rcv_win depending
on the payload/truesize ratio of this packet. Good citizen
packets give a hint that it's reasonable to have rcv_win = sk_rcvbuf/2
This heuristic takes place in tcp_grow_window()
Problem is : We currently call tcp_grow_window() only for in-order
packets.
This means that reorders or packet losses stop proper grow of
rcv_win, and senders are unable to benefit from fast recovery,
or proper reordering level detection.
Really, a packet being stored in OFO queue is not a bad citizen.
It should be part of the game as in-order packets.
In our traces, we very often see sender is limited by linux small
receive windows, even if linux hosts use autotuning (DRS) and should
allow rcv_win to grow to ~3MB.

This patch proposes to remove the MLX5_DEBUG kernel configuration
parameter defined in drivers/net/ethernet/mellanox/mlx5/core/Kconfig,
but used nowhere in the makefiles and source code.
This could also be fixed by using this parameter,
but this may be a leftover from driver development...

Commit c0a77ec74f 'bnx2x: Add missing braces in
bnx2x:bnx2x_link_initialize' identified indentation problem, but resolved it
by adding braces instead of fixing the indentation. The braces now prevents a
config_init call in some cases, though it should be called regardless of that
condition. This patch removes the braces and fix the confusing indentation
that caused this mess.

In commit 0f7cc9a3 "tcp: increase throughput when reordering is high",
it only allows cwnd to increase in Open state. This mistakenly disables
slow start after timeout (CA_Loss). Moreover cwnd won't grow if the
state moves from Disorder to Open later in tcp_fastretrans_alert().
Therefore the correct logic should be to allow cwnd to grow as long
as the data is received in order in Open, Loss, or even Disorder state.

Fix finer-grained control and let only a whitelist of allowed netlink
protocols pass, in our case related to networking. If later on, other
subsystems decide they want to add their protocol as well to the list
of allowed protocols they shall simply add it. While at it, we also
need to tell what protocol is in use otherwise BPF_S_ANC_PROTOCOL can
not pick it up (as it's not filled out).

Right now the Makefile for the mpt3sas driver does not even allow the
driver to be built into the kernel. So fix that up, as there doesn't
seem to be any obvious reason why this shouldn't be done.

This fixes an issue seen with devices getting marked offline
in a scenario where a VIOS was getting rebooted while a
client VFC adapter is in SCSI EH and prevents unnecessary
EH escalation in some scenarios.
