68c16a76c6 [media] si2168: enhance firmware download routine
All known old firmware firmware formats are downloaded using 8 byte
chunks. Reject firmware if it could not be divided to 8 byte chunks
and because of that we could simplify some calculations. Now both
supported firmware download routines are rather similar.

a4bca4c7ad [media] rc: sunxi-cir: Add support for the larger fifo found on sun5i and sun6i
Add support for the larger fifo found on sun5i and sun6i, having a separate

transmit support.

Note this commits also adds checking for the end-of-packet interrupt flag
(which was already enabled), as the fifo-data-available interrupt flag only
gets set when the trigger-level is exceeded. So far we've been getting away
with not doing this because of the low trigger-level, but this is something

33692f2759 vm: add VM_FAULT_SIGSEGV handling support
The core VM already knows about VM_FAULT_SIGBUS, but cannot return a
"you should SIGSEGV" error, because the SIGSEGV case was generally
handled by the caller - usually the architecture fault handler.

That results in lots of duplication - all the architecture fault
handlers end up doing very similar "look up vma, check permissions, do
retries etc" - but it generally works. However, there are cases where
the VM actually wants to SIGSEGV, and applications _expect_ SIGSEGV.

In particular, when accessing the stack guard page, libsigsegv expects a
SIGSEGV. And it usually got one, because the stack growth is handled by
that duplicated architecture fault handler.

However, when the generic VM layer started propagating the error return
from the stack expansion in commit fee7e49d45 ("mm: propagate error
from stack expansion even for guard page"), that now exposed the
existing VM_FAULT_SIGBUS result to user space. And user space really
expected SIGSEGV, not SIGBUS.

To fix that case, we need to add a VM_FAULT_SIGSEGV, and teach all those
duplicate architecture fault handlers about it. They all already have
the code to handle SIGSEGV, so it's about just tying that new return
value to the existing code, but it's all a bit annoying.

This is the mindless minimal patch to do this. A more extensive patch
would be to try to gather up the mostly shared fault handling logic into
one generic helper routine, and long-term we really should do that
cleanup.

Just from this patch, you can generally see that most architectures just
copied (directly or indirectly) the old x86 way of doing things, but in
the meantime that original x86 model has been improved to hold the VM
semaphore for shorter times etc and to handle VM_FAULT_RETRY and other
"newer" things, so it would be a good idea to bring all those
improvements to the generic case and teach other architectures about
them too.

2f0ecb7c65 iio: core: Introduce IIO_CHAN_INFO_DEBOUNCE_COUNT and _TIME
The pedometer needs to filter out false steps that might be generated by
tapping the foot, sitting, etc. To do that it computes the number of
steps that occur in a given time and decides the user is moving only
if this value is over a threshold. E.g.: the user starts moving only
if he takes 4 steps in 3 seconds. This filter is applied only when
the user starts moving.

A device that has such pedometer functionality is Freescale's MMA9553L:
http://www.freescale.com/files/sensors/doc/ref_manual/MMA9553LSWRM.pdf.

To export this feature, this patch introduces IIO_CHAN_INFO_DEBOUNCE_COUNT
and IIO_CHAN_INFO_DEBOUNCE_TIME. For the pedometer, in_steps_debounce_count
will specify the number of steps that need to occur in
in_steps_debounce_time seconds so that the pedometer decides the user is
moving.

  - Remove superfluous guid unparse calls - Ivan Khoronzhuk

  - Delete unnecessary chosen@0 DT node FDT code since was duplicated

There's nothing super scary, mainly cleanups, and a merge from Ricardo who

Perhaps the biggest risk is the get_memory_map() change from Ard, which

drivers/built-in.o: In function `omap_musb_set_mailbox':
usb/musb/omap2430.c:273: undefined reference to `omap_control_usb_set_mode'
usb/musb/omap2430.c:304: undefined reference to `omap_control_usb_set_mode'
drivers/built-in.o:(.debug_addr+0xbd9e0): more undefined references to `omap_control_usb_set_mode' follow

This adds an explicit dependency.

a0cb12e2ed usb: musb: add generic usb phy dependencies
Multiple musb glue drivers depend on the generic usb phy support,
but fail to list it as a dependency in Kconfig. This results
in build erros like:

drivers/built-in.o: In function `am35x_remove':
:(.text+0xadacc): undefined reference to `usb_phy_generic_unregister'
drivers/built-in.o: In function `am35x_probe':
:(.text+0xae1c8): undefined reference to `usb_phy_generic_register'
:(.text+0xae244): undefined reference to `usb_phy_generic_unregister'
drivers/built-in.o: In function `jz4740_remove':
:(.text+0xaf648): undefined reference to `usb_phy_generic_unregister'
drivers/built-in.o: In function `jz4740_musb_init':
:(.text+0xaf694): undefined reference to `usb_phy_generic_register'

This adds the ones that are missing.
