Mark Einon points out that the Kconfig option for NETDEV_1000 no longer
exists, and the merge of the staging drivers should have removed that
for the et131x driver.

When we want to convert the unitialized extent in direct write, we can
either do it in ext4_end_io_nolock(AIO case) or in
ext4_ext_direct_IO(non AIO case) and EXT4_I(inode)->cur_aio_dio is a
guard for ext4_ext_map_blocks to find the right case. In e9e3bcecf,
we mistakenly change it by:

Fix up conflicts in arch/x86/kernel/kprobes.c manually.
Ingo's tree did the insane "add volatile to const array", which just
doesn't make sense ("volatile const"?). But we could remove the const
*and* make the array volatile to make doubly sure that gcc doesn't
optimize it away..
Also fix up kernel/trace/ring_buffer.c non-data-conflicts manually: the
reader_lock has been turned into a raw lock by the core locking merge,
and there was a new user of it introduced in this perf core merge. Make
sure that new use also uses the raw accessor functions.

When 5.1 or more headphone or speaker pins are provided, the parser still
takes as is without fixing the order of channel mapping, which leads in
the unexpected strange channel order by surround outputs.
This patch fixes the issue by applying the same fix-up not only to
line_out_pins[] but also hp_pins[] and speaker_pins[].

The xenbus module provides xenbus_map_ring_valloc() and

The __perf_evsel__open routing was grouping just the threads for that
specific events per cpu when we want to group all threads in all events
to the first fd opened on that cpu.
So pass the xyarray with the first event, where the other events will be
able to get that first per cpu fd.
At some point top and record will switch to using perf_evlist__open that
takes care of this detail and probably will also handle the fallback
from hw to soft counters, etc.

The kernel will crash on
ext4_mb_mark_diskspace_used:
BUG_ON(ac->ac_b_ex.fe_len <= 0);
after we set /sys/fs/ext4/sda/mb_group_prealloc to zero and create new files in an ext4 filesystem.
The reason is: ac_b_ex.fe_len also set to zero(mb_group_prealloc) in ext4_mb_normalize_group_request
because the ac_flags contains EXT4_MB_HINT_GROUP_ALLOC.
I think when someone set mb_group_prealloc to zero, it means DO NOT USE GROUP PREALLOCATION,
so we should set alloc-strategy to STREAM in this case.

In ext4_ext_next_allocated_block(), the path[depth] might
have a p_ext that is NULL -- see ext4_ext_binsearch(). In
such a case, dereferencing it will crash the machine.
This patch checks for p_ext == NULL in
ext4_ext_next_allocated_block() before dereferencinging it.
Tested using a hand-crafted an inode with eh_entries == 0 in
an extent block, verified that running FIEMAP on it crashes
without this patch, works fine with it.

When allocated is unsigned it breaks the error handling at the end
of the function when we call:

ext4_mark_iloc_dirty() says:
* The caller must have previously called ext4_reserve_inode_write().
* Give this, we know that the caller already has write access to iloc->bh.
ext4_xattr_set_handle, however, just open-codes it. May as well use
the helper function for consistency.
No bug here, just tidiness.
(Note: on cleanup path, ext4_reserve_inode_write sets
the bh to NULL if it returns an error, and brelse() of
a null bh is handled gracefully).

If a directory with more than EXT4_LINK_MAX subdirectories, the nlink
count is set to 1. Subsequently, if any subdirectories are deleted,
ext4_dec_count() decrements the i_nlink count, which may go to 0
temporarily before being incremented back to 1.
While this is done under i_mutex, which prevents races for directory
and inode operations that check i_nlink, the temporary i_nlink == 0
case is exposed to userspace via stat() and similar calls that do not
hold i_mutex.
Instead, change the code to not decrement i_nlink count for any
directories that do not already have i_nlink larger than 2.

The user may use "foo-bar" for a kernel parameter defined as "foo_bar".
Make sure it works the other way around too.
Apply the equality of dashes and underscores on early_params and __setup
params as well.
The example given in Documentation/kernel-parameters.txt indicates that
this is the intended behaviour.
With the patch the kernel accepts "log-buf-len=1M" as expected.

Due to post-increment in condition of kmod_loop_msg in __request_module(),
the system log can be spammed by much more than 5 instances of the 'runaway
loop' message if the number of events triggering it makes the kmod_loop_msg
to overflow.
Fix that by making sure we never increment it past the threshold.

In 3.0 we changed the way recovery_disabled was handle so that instead
of testing against zero, we test an mddev-> value against a conf->
value.
Two problems:
1/ one place in raid1 was missed and still sets to '1'.
2/ We didn't explicitly set the conf-> value at array creation
time.
It defaulted to '0' just like the mddev value does so they
could appear equal and thus disable recovery.
This did not affect normal 'md' as it calls bind_rdev_to_array
which changes the mddev value. However the dmraid interface
doesn't call this and so doesn't change ->recovery_disabled; so at
array start all recovery is incorrectly disabled.
So initialise the 'conf' value to one less that the mddev value, so
the will only be the same when explicitly set that way.
