2fb242adca PM / Runtime: Update document about callbacks
Support for device power domains has been introduced in
commit 9659cc0678 (PM: Make
system-wide PM and runtime PM treat subsystems consistently),
also power domain callbacks will take precedence over subsystem ones
from commit 4d27e9dcff00a6425d779b065ec8892e4f391661(PM: Make
power domain callbacks take precedence over subsystem ones).

So update part of "Device Runtime PM Callbacks" in
Documentation/power/runtime_pm.txt.

3e7abe2556 intel-iommu: Fix AB-BA lockdep report
When unbinding a device so that I could pass it through to a KVM VM, I
got the lockdep report below.  It looks like a legitimate lock
ordering problem:

 - domain_context_mapping_one() takes iommu->lock and calls
   iommu_support_dev_iotlb(), which takes device_domain_lock (inside
   iommu->lock).

 - domain_remove_one_dev_info() starts by taking device_domain_lock
   then takes iommu->lock inside it (near the end of the function).

So this is the classic AB-BA deadlock.  It looks like a safe fix is to
simply release device_domain_lock a bit earlier, since as far as I can
tell, it doesn't protect any of the stuff accessed at the end of
domain_remove_one_dev_info() anyway.

BTW, the use of device_domain_lock looks a bit unsafe to me... it's
at least not obvious to me why we aren't vulnerable to the race below:

  iommu_support_dev_iotlb()
                                          domain_remove_dev_info()

    find info
  unlock device_domain_lock

                                          lock device_domain_lock
                                            find same info
                                          unlock device_domain_lock

                                          free_devinfo_mem(info)

  do stuff with info after it's free

However I don't understand the locking here well enough to know if
this is a real problem, let alone what the best fix is.

2a0f7f5769 Btrfs: fix recursive auto-defrag
Follow those steps:

  # mount -o autodefrag /dev/sda7 /mnt
  # dd if=/dev/urandom of=/mnt/tmp bs=200K count=1
  # sync
  # dd if=/dev/urandom of=/mnt/tmp bs=8K count=1 conv=notrunc

and then it'll go into a loop: writeback -> defrag -> writeback ...

It's because writeback writes [8K, 200K] and then writes [0, 8K].

I tried to make writeback know if the pages are dirtied by defrag,
but the patch was a bit intrusive. Here I simply set writeback_index
when we defrag a file.

02ca1521ad ftrace/kprobes: Fix not to delete probes if in use
Fix kprobe-tracer not to delete a probe if the probe is in use.
In that case, delete operation will return -EBUSY.

This bug can cause a kernel panic if enabled probes are deleted
during perf record.

(Add some probes on functions)
sh-4.2# perf probe --del probe:\*
sh-4.2# exit
(kernel panic)

I've also checked that this problem doesn't happen on
tracepoints when module removing because perf event
locks target module.

a3a4bfde8a mscan: too much data copied to CAN frame due to 16 bit accesses
Due to the 16 bit access to mscan registers there's too much data copied to
the zero initialized CAN frame when having an odd number of bytes to copy.
This patch ensures that only the requested bytes are copied by using an
8 bit access for the remaining byte.

c5d6136e10 mlx4_en: fix endianness with blue frame support
The doorbell register was being unconditionally swapped. In x86, that
meant it was being swapped to BE and written to the descriptor and to
memory, depending on the case of blue frame support or writing to
doorbell register. On PPC, this meant it was being swapped to LE and
then swapped back to BE while writing to the register. But in the blue
frame case, it was being written as LE to the descriptor.

The fix is not to swap doorbell unconditionally, write it to the
register as BE and convert it to BE when writing it to the descriptor.

0f0bee8bbc RDMA/nes: Support for Packed And Unaligned fpdus
Support for Packed and Unaligned (PAU) FPDUs is needed for
interoperability between NES and non-NES nodes. When the NES hardware
detects a PAU frame, it will pass it to the driver to process the
frame.  NES driver creates a new frame for each FPDU and forwards it
to the hardware to be sent to its associated qp.

8076c363da udf: Rename udf_error to udf_err
Rename udf_error to udf_err for consistency with normal logging
uses of pr_err.

Rename function udf_err to _udf_err.
Remove __func__ from uses and move __func__ to a new udf_err
macro that calls _udf_err.
Some of the udf_error uses had \n terminations, some did not so
standardize \n's to udf_err uses, remove \n from _udf_err function.
Coalesce udf_err formats.
One message prefixed with udf_read_super is now prefixed with
udf_fill_super.

7e273e3b41 udf: Promote some debugging messages to udf_error
If there is a problem with a scratched disc or loader, it's valuable to know
which error occurred.

Convert some debug messages to udf_error, neaten those messages too.
Add the calculated tag checksum and the read checksum to error message.
Make udf_error a public function and move the logging prototypes together.

40bfa16dac ext3: Remove the obsolete broken EXT3_IOC32_WAIT_FOR_READONLY.
There are no user of EXT3_IOC32_WAIT_FOR_READONLY and also it is
broken. No one set the set_ro_timer, no one wake up us and our
state is set to TASK_INTERRUPTIBLE not RUNNING. So remove it.

Tablet reports a distance of 0 right at highest point possible
to be in proximity and distance_max when touching tablet. Inverse
the distance since user land has no way of knowing ABS_DISTANCE

57c5ee79ac vmwgfx: Add fence events
Add a way to send DRM events down the gpu fifo by attaching them to
fence objects. This may be useful for Xserver swapbuffer throttling and
page-flip done notifications.

Bump version to 2.2 to signal the availability of the FENCE_EVENT ioctl.

8528bdd450 regmap: Allow caches for devices with no defaults
We only really need the defaults in order to cut down the number of
registers we sync and to satisfy reads while the device is powered off
but not all devices are going to need to do that (always on devices like
PMICs being the prime example) so don't require those devices to supply
a default.  Instead only try to fall back to hardware defaults if the
driver told us to.

Devices using LZO won't be able to instantiate with this, that will require
some updates in the LZO code to handle this case.

e4efd94bde iommu/omap: always provide iommu debug code
The iommu module on omap contains a few functions that are
only used by the debug module. These are however only there
when the debug code is built as a module. Since it is possible
to build the debug code into the kernel, the functions should
also be provided for the built-in case.
