c98b2cc29a block: remove WARN_ON_ONCE() in exit_io_context()
6e736be7 "block: make ioc get/put interface more conventional and fix
race on alloction" added WARN_ON_ONCE() in exit_io_context() which
triggers if !PF_EXITING. All tasks hitting exit_io_context() from
task exit should have PF_EXITING set but task struct tearing down
after fork failure calls into the function without PF_EXITING,
triggering the condition.

7e3aa30ac8 cgroup: Remove task_lock() from cgroup_post_fork()
cgroup_post_fork() is protected between threadgroup_change_begin()
and threadgroup_change_end() against concurrent changes of the
child's css_set in cgroup_task_migrate(). Also the child can't
exit and call cgroup_exit() at this stage, this means it's css_set
can't be changed with init_css_set concurrently.

For these reasons, we don't need to hold task_lock() on the child
because it's css_set can only remain stable in this place.

Let's remove the lock there.

c47e9b9188 tipc: Eliminate dynamic allocation of broadcast link data structures
Creates global variables to hold the broadcast link's pseudo-bearer and
pseudo-link structures, rather than allocating them dynamically. There
is only a single instance of each structure, and changing over to static
allocation allows elimination of code to handle the cases where dynamic

The memset in the teardown code may look like they aren't used, but
the same teardown code is run when there is a non-fatal error at
init-time, so that stale data isn't present when the user fixes the
cause of the soft error.

5c216e1d28 tipc: Allow run-time alteration of default link settings
Permits run-time alteration of default link settings on a per-media

The following syntax can now be used:

    tipc-config -lt=<link-name|bearer-name|media-name>/<tolerance>
    tipc-config -lp=<link-name|bearer-name|media-name>/<priority>
    tipc-config -lw=<link-name|bearer-name|media-name>/<window>

Note that changes to the default settings for a given media type has
no effect on the default settings used by existing bearers. Similarly,
changes to default bearer settings has no effect on existing link
endpoints that utilize that interface.

3d749a6a26 tipc: Hide media-specific addressing details from generic bearer code
Reworks TIPC's media address data structure and associated processing
routines to transfer all media-specific details of address conversion
to the associated TIPC media adaptation code. TIPC's generic bearer code
now only needs to know which media type an address is associated with
and whether or not it is a broadcast address, and totally ignores the
"value" field that contains the actual media-specific addressing info.

These changes eliminate the need for a number of endianness conversion
operations and will make it easier for TIPC to support new media types
in the future.

Simplifies error handling performed during media registration, since
TIPC no longer supports the dynamic addition of new media types that
are potentially error-prone. These simplifications include the following:

1) No longer check for premature registration of a new media type.
2) No longer check for negative link priority values (which was pointless

3) No longer generate a warning describing the exact cause of any

2fa1d4fce5 [S390] disassembler: mark exception causing instructions
If an exception happens the PSW either points to the instruction that
caused the exception or to the instruction that follows the exception
causing instruction, depending on the exception type.
Since the inkernel disassembler adds a ">" in front of the disassembly
many people assume incorrectly that the instruction that is pointed to
must be the cause of the exception. To make people aware that this is
not necessarily the case add a different character in front of the
disassembled instruction that precedes the current instructions.

e58b0d902f [S390] qdio: fix kernel panic for zfcp 31-bit
The queue_start_poll function pointer field in struct qdio_initialize
had to change its type and become a vector of function pointers to
support asynchronous delivery of storage blocks so rename the field to
make the type change explicit and ensure no other user of qdio tries
to use the field the old way. During setting up the qdio queues, only
dereference vector elements if the vector is actually allocated.

7fe7a18cdd [S390] Add VMCOREINFO_SYMBOL(high_memory) to vmcoreinfo
Currently the vmalloc_start address (or better end of real memory) for s390x
is obtained by makedumpfile using vmlist.addr symbol, which is not correct.
The correct vmalloc_start address can be obtained using 'high_memory' symbol.

This patch adds the high_memory symbol to vmcoreinfo.

1afcfd5948 [S390] dasd: fix expiration handling for recovery requests
The 'expires' value of a ccw requests defines how long the device
driver should wait for a response from the evice after the request has
been submitted to the channel subsystem. After the expiration time
(e.g. 30 seconds) the waiting request will be cancelled and started
again. This protects the DASD devices from beeing blocked by errors
that cause the answering I/O interrupt to be lost.

In case of error recovery requests, this 'expires' value used to be
set to 0, so in case of a lost interrupt, such a recovery request
would never expire and block the device. To prevent this kind of
problem, all recovery requests need to have an expires value > 0 as
well. If not specified otherwise, this should be the same expires
value as for the original request.

85ac7ca597 [S390] outstanding interrupts vs. smp_send_stop
The panic function will first print the panic message to the console,
then stop additional cpus with smp_send_stop and finally call the
function on the panic notifier list.
In case of an I/O based console the panic message will cause I/O to
be started and a function on the panic notifier list will wait for the
completion of the I/O. That does not work if an I/O completion interrupt
has already been delivered to a cpu that is then stopped by smp_send_stop.
To break this cyclic dependency add code to smp_send_stop that gives
the additional cpu the opportunity to complete outstanding interrupts.

aa33c8cbba [S390] cleanup trap handling
Move the program interruption code and the translation exception identifier
to the pt_regs structure as 'int_code' and 'int_parm_long' and make the
first level interrupt handler in entry[64].S store the two values. That
makes it possible to drop 'prot_addr' and 'trap_no' from the thread_struct
and to reduce the number of arguments to a lot of functions. Finally
un-inline do_trap. Overall this saves 5812 bytes in the .text section of
the 64 bit kernel.

Remove last traces of our kerntypes patch which was always an addon
patch which never got upstream. Somehow a few bits got upstream

Since kerntypes aren't used anymore and lcrash isn't maintained (for

upstream. Also remove the documentation that mentions lcrash.
