16bfa38b19 ima: hashing large files bug fix
Hashing files larger than INT_MAX causes process to loop.
Dependent on redefining kernel_read() offset type to loff_t.

5eecfde615 NFS: Handle a zero-length auth flavor list
Some releases of Linux rpc.mountd (nfs-utils 1.1.4 and later) return an
empty auth flavor list if no sec= was specified for the export. This is
notably broken server behavior.

The new auth flavor list checking added in a recent commit rejects this
case. The OpenSolaris client does too.

The broken mountd implementation is already widely deployed. To avoid
a behavioral regression, the kernel's mount client skips flavor checking
(ie reverts to the pre-2.6.32 behavior) if mountd returns an empty
flavor list.

4871953c0e drivers/net: fixed drivers that support netpoll use ndo_start_xmit()
The NETPOLL API requires that interrupts remain disabled in
netpoll_send_skb(). The use of "A functions set" in the NETPOLL API
callbacks causes the interrupts to get enabled and can lead to kernel
instability.

The solution is to use "B functions set" to prevent the irqs from
getting enabled while in netpoll_send_skb().

A functions set:
local_irq_disable()/local_irq_enable()
spin_lock_irq()/spin_unlock_irq()
spin_trylock_irq()/spin_unlock_irq()

B functions set:
local_irq_save()/local_irq_restore()
spin_lock_irqsave()/spin_unlock_irqrestore()
spin_trylock_irqsave()/spin_unlock_irqrestore()

335776bd69 RDS: Track transports via an array, not a list
Now that transports can be loaded in arbitrary order,
it is important for rds_trans_get_preferred() to look
for them in a particular order, instead of walking the list
until it finds a transport that works for a given address.
Now, each transport registers for a specific transport slot,
and these are ordered so that preferred transports come first,
and then if they are not loaded, other transports are queried.

6ff9c2e7fa E100: fix interaction with swiotlb on X86.
E100 places it's RX packet descriptors inside skb->data and uses them
with bidirectional streaming DMA mapping. Data in descriptors is
accessed simultaneously by the chip (writing status and size when
a packet is received) and CPU (reading to check if the packet was
received). This isn't a valid usage of PCI DMA API, which requires use
of the coherent (consistent) memory for such purpose. Unfortunately e100
chips working in "simplified" RX mode have to store received data
directly after the descriptor. Fixing the driver to conform to the API
would require using unsupported "flexible" RX mode or receiving data
into a coherent memory and using CPU to copy it to network buffers.

This patch, while not yet making the driver conform to the PCI DMA API,
allows it to work correctly on X86 with swiotlb (while not breaking
other architectures).

d8e180dcd5 bsdacct: switch credentials for writing to the accounting file
When process accounting is enabled, every exiting process writes a log to
the account file. In addition, every once in a while one of the exiting
processes checks whether there's enough free space for the log.

SELinux policy may or may not allow the exiting process to stat the fs.
So unsuspecting processes start generating AVC denials just because
someone enabled process accounting.

For these filesystem operations, the exiting process's credentials should
be temporarily switched to that of the process which enabled accounting,
because it's really that process which wanted to have the accounting
information logged.

f41d911f8c rcu: Merge preemptable-RCU functionality into hierarchical RCU
Create a kernel/rcutree_plugin.h file that contains definitions
for preemptable RCU (or, under the #else branch of the #ifdef,
empty definitions for the classic non-preemptable semantics).
These definitions fit into plugins defined in kernel/rcutree.c
for this purpose.

This variant of preemptable RCU uses a new algorithm whose
read-side expense is roughly that of classic hierarchical RCU
under CONFIG_PREEMPT. This new algorithm's update-side expense
is similar to that of classic hierarchical RCU, and, in absence
of read-side preemption or blocking, is exactly that of classic
hierarchical RCU. Perhaps more important, this new algorithm
has a much simpler implementation, saving well over 1,000 lines
of code compared to mainline's implementation of preemptable
RCU, which will hopefully be retired in favor of this new
algorithm.

The simplifications are obtained by maintaining per-task
nesting state for running tasks, and using a simple
lock-protected algorithm to handle accounting when tasks block
within RCU read-side critical sections, making use of lessons
learned while creating numerous user-level RCU implementations
over the past 18 months.

All calls from outside RCU are of the form:

This is silly, instead we put a call to rcu_pending() in

rcu_check_callbacks(). This cuts down on the code a bit and
also gives the compiler a better chance of optimizing.

5699ed8fcb rcu: Fix online/offline indication for rcudata.csv trace file
The heading said "Online?", but the column had "Y" for offline
CPUs and "N" for online CPUs. Swap the "Y" and "N" to match
the heading.

d6714c22b4 rcu: Renamings to increase RCU clarity
Make RCU-sched, RCU-bh, and RCU-preempt be underlying
implementations, with "RCU" defined in terms of one of the
three. Update the outdated rcu_qsctr_inc() names, as these
functions no longer increment anything.

Some information hiding that makes it easier to merge

- Set the USE_INT_PARAM bit so the rx-frames-irq and tx-frames-irq will take

- Increase the default rx-frames to reduce interrupt count.
- Decrease the default rx-frames-irq and tx-frames-irq to catch more events

All these will reduce interrupts without affecting latency.
