078a85f280 ASoC: dapm: Only power up active channels from a DAI
Currently all widgets attached to a DAI link will be powered
up when the DAI is active, however this may include routes
that are not actually in use if there are unused channels
available on the DAI.

The macros for creating AIF widgets already include an entry for
slot, it is proposed to change that to channel. The effective
difference here being respresenting the logical channel index
rather than the physical slot index. The CODECs currently
using the slot entry on the DAPM_AIF macros are using it in
a manner consistent with this, the CODECs not using it just
have the field set to zero.

A variable is added to snd_soc_dapm_widget to represent
this channel index and then for each AIF widget attached to
a DAI this is compared against the number of channels on
the stream. Enabling the links for those which will be in
use. This has the nice property that the CODECs which haven't
used the slot/channel entry in the macro will function exactly
as before due to all the AIF widgets having a channel of zero
and a stream by definition having at least one channel.

e6d429313e x86/resctrl: Avoid confusion over the new X86_RESCTRL config
"Resource Control" is a very broad term for this CPU feature, and a term
that is also associated with containers, cgroups etc. This can easily
cause confusion.

Make the user prompt more specific. Match the config symbol name.

   under ARM_CPU_RESCTRL and the arch-agnostic bits will be carved out
   under the CPU_RESCTRL umbrella symbol. ]

f38ab20b74 iio: st_accel: use ACPI orientation data
Platform-specific ST accelerometer mount matrix information can be
provided by returning a package of 6 integers from the ACPI _ONT
method. This has been seen on Acer products such as Veriton Z4860G,
Z6860G and A890, which include a ST SMO8840 sensor. We have also
confirmed experimentally that the Windows driver uses such information.

The _ONT data format was explained by a ST vendor contact. However,
strangely enough, the _ONT transformations must be applied after first
applying another mount matrix which we determined experimentally. ST
have not commented on why this is the case, but we imagine that perhaps
earlier devices (before _ONT was introduced) required this translation
and hence it became 'standard.'

Interpret the _ONT data and export the equivalent mount matrix to
userspace.

If no _ONT data is present, no mount matrix is exported.

b13bc35193 mm/hotplug: invalid PFNs from pfn_to_online_page()
On an arm64 ThunderX2 server, the first kmemleak scan would crash [1]
with CONFIG_DEBUG_VM_PGFLAGS=y due to page_to_nid() found a pfn that is
not directly mapped (MEMBLOCK_NOMAP).  Hence, the page->flags is
uninitialized.

This is due to the commit 9f1eb38e0e ("mm, kmemleak: little
optimization while scanning") starts to use pfn_to_online_page() instead
of pfn_valid().  However, in the CONFIG_MEMORY_HOTPLUG=y case,
pfn_to_online_page() does not call memblock_is_map_memory() while
pfn_valid() does.

Historically, the commit 68709f4538 ("arm64: only consider memblocks
with NOMAP cleared for linear mapping") causes pages marked as nomap
being no long reassigned to the new zone in memmap_init_zone() by
calling __init_single_page().

Since the commit 2d070eab2e ("mm: consider zone which is not fully
populated to have holes") introduced pfn_to_online_page() and was
designed to return a valid pfn only, but it is clearly broken on arm64.

Therefore, let pfn_to_online_page() call pfn_valid_within(), so it can
handle nomap thanks to the commit f52bb98f5a ("arm64: mm: always
enable CONFIG_HOLES_IN_ZONE"), while it will be optimized away on
architectures where have no HOLES_IN_ZONE.

9bcdeb51bd oom, oom_reaper: do not enqueue same task twice
Arkadiusz reported that enabling memcg's group oom killing causes
strange memcg statistics where there is no task in a memcg despite the
number of tasks in that memcg is not 0.  It turned out that there is a
bug in wake_oom_reaper() which allows enqueuing same task twice which
makes impossible to decrease the number of tasks in that memcg due to a
refcount leak.

This bug existed since the OOM reaper became invokable from
task_will_free_mem(current) path in out_of_memory() in Linux 4.7,

but memcg's group oom killing made it easier to trigger this bug by
calling wake_oom_reaper() on the same task from one out_of_memory()
request.

Fix this bug using an approach used by commit 855b018325 ("oom,
oom_reaper: disable oom_reaper for oom_kill_allocating_task").  As a
side effect of this patch, this patch also avoids enqueuing multiple
threads sharing memory via task_will_free_mem(current) path.

ddb6e99e2d ethtool: add compat for devlink info
If driver did not fill the fw_version field, try to call into
the new devlink get_info op and collect the versions that way.
We assume ethtool was always reporting running versions.

fc6fae7dd9 devlink: add version reporting to devlink info API
ethtool -i has a few fixed-size fields which can be used to report
firmware version and expansion ROM version. Unfortunately, modern
hardware has more firmware components. There is usually some
datapath microcode, management controller, PXE drivers, and a
CPLD load. Running ethtool -i on modern controllers reveals the
fact that vendors cram multiple values into firmware version field.

Here are some examples from systems I could lay my hands on quickly:

tg3:  "FFV20.2.17 bc 5720-v1.39"
i40e: "6.01 0x800034a4 1.1747.0"
nfp:  "0.0.3.5 0.25 sriov-2.1.16 nic"

Add a new devlink API to allow retrieving multiple versions, and
provide user-readable name for those versions.

While at it break down the versions into three categories:
 - fixed - this is the board/fixed component version, usually vendors
           report information like the board version in the PCI VPD,
           but it will benefit from naming and common API as well;
 - running - this is the running firmware version;
 - stored - this is firmware in the flash, after firmware update
            this value will reflect the flashed version, while the
            running version may only be updated after reboot.

 - remove the nesting in attr DEVLINK_ATTR_INFO_VERSIONS (now
   versions are mixed with other info attrs)l

f9cf22882c devlink: add device information API
ethtool -i has served us well for a long time, but its showing
its limitations more and more. The device information should
also be reported per device not per-netdev.

Lay foundation for a simple devlink-based way of reading device
info. Add driver name and device serial number as initial pieces
of information exposed via this new API.

5b053e121f net: tls: Set async_capable for tls zerocopy only if we see EINPROGRESS
Currently we don't zerocopy if the crypto framework async bit is set.
However some crypto algorithms (such as x86 AESNI) support async,
but in the context of sendmsg, will never run asynchronously.  Instead,
check for actual EINPROGRESS return code before assuming algorithm is
async.

130b392c6c net: tls: Add tls 1.3 support
TLS 1.3 has minor changes from TLS 1.2 at the record layer.

* Header now hardcodes the same version and application content type in
  the header.
* The real content type is appended after the data, before encryption (or
  after decryption).
* The IV is xored with the sequence number, instead of concatinating four
  bytes of IV with the explicit IV.
* Zero-padding:  No exlicit length is given, we search backwards from the
  end of the decrypted data for the first non-zero byte, which is the
  content type.  Currently recv supports reading zero-padding, but there
  is no way for send to add zero padding.

96049f3afd bpf: introduce BPF_F_LOCK flag
Introduce BPF_F_LOCK flag for map_lookup and map_update syscall commands
and for map_update() helper function.
In all these cases take a lock of existing element (which was provided
in BTF description) before copying (in or out) the rest of map value.

Implementation details that are part of uapi:

Array:
The array map takes the element lock for lookup/update.

Hash:
hash map also takes the lock for lookup/update and tries to avoid the bucket lock.
If old element exists it takes the element lock and updates the element in place.
If element doesn't exist it allocates new one and inserts into hash table
while holding the bucket lock.
In rare case the hashmap has to take both the bucket lock and the element lock
to update old value in place.

Cgroup local storage:
It is similar to array. update in place and lookup are done with lock taken.

d83525ca62 bpf: introduce bpf_spin_lock
Introduce 'struct bpf_spin_lock' and bpf_spin_lock/unlock() helpers to let
bpf program serialize access to other variables.

Example:

Restrictions and safety checks:
- bpf_spin_lock is only allowed inside HASH and ARRAY maps.
- BTF description of the map is mandatory for safety analysis.
- bpf program can take one bpf_spin_lock at a time, since two or more can
  cause dead locks.
- only one 'struct bpf_spin_lock' is allowed per map element.
  It drastically simplifies implementation yet allows bpf program to use
  any number of bpf_spin_locks.
- when bpf_spin_lock is taken the calls (either bpf2bpf or helpers) are not allowed.
- bpf program must bpf_spin_unlock() before return.
- bpf program can access 'struct bpf_spin_lock' only via
  bpf_spin_lock()/bpf_spin_unlock() helpers.
- load/store into 'struct bpf_spin_lock lock;' field is not allowed.
- to use bpf_spin_lock() helper the BTF description of map value must be
  a struct and have 'struct bpf_spin_lock anyname;' field at the top level.
  Nested lock inside another struct is not allowed.
- syscall map_lookup doesn't copy bpf_spin_lock field to user space.
- syscall map_update and program map_update do not update bpf_spin_lock field.
- bpf_spin_lock cannot be on the stack or inside networking packet.
  bpf_spin_lock can only be inside HASH or ARRAY map value.
- bpf_spin_lock is available to root only and to all program types.
- bpf_spin_lock is not allowed in inner maps of map-in-map.
- ld_abs is not allowed inside spin_lock-ed region.
- tracing progs and socket filter progs cannot use bpf_spin_lock due to
  insufficient preemption checks

Implementation details:
- cgroup-bpf class of programs can nest with xdp/tc programs.
  Hence bpf_spin_lock is equivalent to spin_lock_irqsave.
  Other solutions to avoid nested bpf_spin_lock are possible.
  Like making sure that all networking progs run with softirq disabled.
  spin_lock_irqsave is the simplest and doesn't add overhead to the
  programs that don't use it.
- arch_spinlock_t is used when its implemented as queued_spin_lock
- archs can force their own arch_spinlock_t
- on architectures where queued_spin_lock is not available and
  sizeof(arch_spinlock_t) != sizeof(__u32) trivial lock is used.
- presence of bpf_spin_lock inside map value could have been indicated via
  extra flag during map_create, but specifying it via BTF is cleaner.
  It provides introspection for map key/value and reduces user mistakes.

Next steps:
- allow bpf_spin_lock in other map types (like cgroup local storage)
- introduce BPF_F_LOCK flag for bpf_map_update() syscall and helper
  to request kernel to grab bpf_spin_lock before rewriting the value.
  That will serialize access to map elements.

We used to pass NULL to memory allocators for ISA devices due to
historical reasons.  But we prefer rather a proper device object to be
assigned, so let's fix it by replacing snd_dma_isa_data() call with
card->dev reference, and kill snd_dma_isa_data() definition.

0fc1db9d10 tee: add bus driver framework for TEE based devices
Introduce a generic TEE bus driver concept for TEE based kernel drivers
which would like to communicate with TEE based devices/services. Also
add support in module device table for these new TEE based devices.

In this TEE bus concept, devices/services are identified via Universally
Unique Identifier (UUID) and drivers register a table of device UUIDs
which they can support.

So this TEE bus framework registers following apis:
- match(): Iterates over the driver UUID table to find a corresponding
  match for device UUID. If a match is found, then this particular device
  is probed via corresponding probe api registered by the driver. This
  process happens whenever a device or a driver is registered with TEE
  bus.
- uevent(): Notifies user-space (udev) whenever a new device is registered
  on this bus for auto-loading of modularized drivers.

Also this framework allows for device enumeration to be specific to
corresponding TEE implementation like OP-TEE etc.

42bf4152d8 tee: add supp_nowait flag in tee_context struct
This flag indicates that requests in this context should not wait for
tee-supplicant daemon to be started if not present and just return
with an error code. It is needed for requests which should be
non-blocking in nature like ones arising from TEE based kernel drivers
or any in kernel api that uses TEE internal client interface.

d0a060be57 arm64: add ptrace regsets for ptrauth key management
Add two new ptrace regsets, which can be used to request and change the
pointer authentication keys of a thread. NT_ARM_PACA_KEYS gives access
to the instruction/data address keys, and NT_ARM_PACG_KEYS to the
generic authentication key. The keys are also part of the core dump file
of the process.

The regsets are only exposed if the kernel is compiled with
CONFIG_CHECKPOINT_RESTORE=y, as the only intended use case is
checkpointing and restoring processes that are using pointer
authentication. (This can be changed later if there are other use
cases.)

264fce6cc2 drm/bridge: dw-hdmi: Add SCDC and TMDS Scrambling support
Add support for SCDC Setup for TMDS Clock > 3.4GHz and enable TMDS
Scrambling when supported or mandatory.

This patch also adds an helper to setup the control bit to support
the high TMDS Bit Period/TMDS Clock-Period Ratio as required with
TMDS Clock > 3.4GHz for HDMI2.0 3840x2160@60/50 modes.

These changes were based on work done by Huicong Xu <xhc@rock-chips.com>
and Nickey Yang <nickey.yang@rock-chips.com> to support HDMI2.0 modes
on the Rockchip 4.4 BSP kernel at [1]

305a0ade18 ALSA: hda - Serialize codec registrations
In the current code, the codec registration may happen both at the
codec bind time and the end of the controller probe time.  In a rare
occasion, they race with each other, leading to Oops due to the still
uninitialized card device.

This patch introduces a simple flag to prevent the codec registration
at the codec bind time as long as the controller probe is going on.
The controller probe invokes snd_card_register() that does the whole
registration task, and we don't need to register each piece
beforehand.

23323289b1 netlink: reduce NLA_POLICY_NESTED{,_ARRAY} arguments
In typical cases, there's no need to pass both the maxattr
and the policy array pointer, as the maxattr should just be
ARRAY_SIZE(policy) - 1. Therefore, to be less error prone,
just remove the maxattr argument from the default macros
and deduce the size accordingly.

Leave the original macros with a leading underscore to use
here and in case somebody needs to pass a policy pointer
where the policy isn't declared in the same place and thus
ARRAY_SIZE() cannot be used.

e7dd40105a driver core: Add device link flag DL_FLAG_AUTOPROBE_CONSUMER
Add a new device link flag, DL_FLAG_AUTOPROBE_CONSUMER, to request the
driver core to probe for a consumer driver automatically after binding
a driver to the supplier device on a persistent managed device link.

As unbinding the supplier driver on a managed device link causes the
consumer driver to be detached from its device automatically, this
flag provides a complementary mechanism which is needed to address
some "composite device" use cases.

e2f3cd831a driver core: Fix handling of runtime PM flags in device_link_add()
After commit ead18c23c2 ("driver core: Introduce device links
reference counting"), if there is a link between the given supplier
and the given consumer already, device_link_add() will refcount it
and return it unconditionally without updating its flags.  It is
possible, however, that the second (or any subsequent) caller of
device_link_add() for the same consumer-supplier pair will pass
DL_FLAG_PM_RUNTIME, possibly along with DL_FLAG_RPM_ACTIVE, in flags
to it and the existing link may not behave as expected then.

First, if DL_FLAG_PM_RUNTIME is not set in the existing link's flags
at all, it needs to be set like during the original initialization of
the link.

Second, if DL_FLAG_RPM_ACTIVE is passed to device_link_add() in flags
(in addition to DL_FLAG_PM_RUNTIME), the existing link should to be
updated to reflect the "active" runtime PM configuration of the
consumer-supplier pair and extra care must be taken here to avoid
possible destructive races with runtime PM of the consumer.

To that end, redefine the rpm_active field in struct device_link
as a refcount, initialize it to 1 and make rpm_resume() (for the
consumer) and device_link_add() increment it whenever they acquire
a runtime PM reference on the supplier device.  Accordingly, make
rpm_suspend() (for the consumer) and pm_runtime_clean_up_links()
decrement it and drop runtime PM references to the supplier
device in a loop until rpm_active becones 1 again.

The Kconfig currently controlling compilation of this code is:

drivers/mfd/Kconfig:config MFD_WM8350
drivers/mfd/Kconfig:    bool

...meaning that it currently is not being built as a module by anyone.

Lets remove the couple traces of modular infrastructure use, so that
when reading the driver there is no doubt it is builtin-only.

We delete the MODULE_LICENSE tag etc. since all that information
is already contained at the top of the file in the comments.

We replace module.h with init.h and export.h ; the latter since the
file does export some symbols.

Previous demodularizaion work has made wm8350_device_exit() no longer
used, so it is also removed from the 8350 core code.

acb9900f9e mfd / platform: cros_ec: Move vbc attributes to its own driver
The entire way how cros sysfs attibutes are created is broken.
cros_ec_vbc should be its own driver and its attributes should be
associated with a vbc driver not the mfd driver. In order to retain
the path, the vbc attributes are attached to the cros_class.

The patch also adds the sysfs documentation.
