14f6cfe0d7 tools/nolibc: fix incorrect truncation of exit code
commit de0244ae40 upstream.

Ammar Faizi reported that our exit code handling is wrong. We truncate
it to the lowest 8 bits but the syscall itself is expected to take a
regular 32-bit signed integer, not an unsigned char. It's the kernel
that later truncates it to the lowest 8 bits. The difference is visible
in strace, where the program below used to show exit(255) instead of
exit(-1):

  int main(void)
  {
        return -1;
  }

This patch applies the fix to all archs. x86_64, i386, arm64, armv7 and
mips were all tested and confirmed to work fine now. Risc-v was not
tested but the change is trivial and exactly the same as for other archs.

5e258640ba tools/nolibc: i386: fix initial stack alignment
commit ebbe0d8a44 upstream.

After re-checking in the spec and comparing stack offsets with glibc,
The last pushed argument must be 16-byte aligned (i.e. aligned before the
call) so that in the callee esp+4 is multiple of 16, so the principle is
the 32-bit equivalent to what Ammar fixed for x86_64. It's possible that
32-bit code using SSE2 or MMX could have been affected. In addition the
frame pointer ought to be zero at the deepest level.

Ammar Faizi
06f7528d64 tools/nolibc: x86-64: Fix startup code bug
commit 937ed91c71 upstream.

Before this patch, the `_start` function looks like this:
```
0000000000001170 <_start>:
    1170:	pop    %rdi
    1171:	mov    %rsp,%rsi
    1174:	lea    0x8(%rsi,%rdi,8),%rdx
    1179:	and    $0xfffffffffffffff0,%rsp
    117d:	sub    $0x8,%rsp
    1181:	call   1000 <main>
    1186:	movzbq %al,%rdi
    118a:	mov    $0x3c,%rax
    1191:	syscall
    1193:	hlt
    1194:	data16 cs nopw 0x0(%rax,%rax,1)
    119f:	nop
```
Note the "and" to %rsp with $-16, it makes the %rsp be 16-byte aligned,
but then there is a "sub" with $0x8 which makes the %rsp no longer
16-byte aligned, then it calls main. That's the bug!

What actually the x86-64 System V ABI mandates is that right before the
"call", the %rsp must be 16-byte aligned, not after the "call". So the
"sub" with $0x8 here breaks the alignment. Remove it.

An example where this rule matters is when the callee needs to align
its stack at 16-byte for aligned move instruction, like `movdqa` and
`movaps`. If the callee can't align its stack properly, it will result
in segmentation fault.

x86-64 System V ABI also mandates the deepest stack frame should be
zero. Just to be safe, let's zero the %rbp on startup as the content
of %rbp may be unspecified when the program starts. Now it looks like
this:
```
0000000000001170 <_start>:
    1170:	pop    %rdi
    1171:	mov    %rsp,%rsi
    1174:	lea    0x8(%rsi,%rdi,8),%rdx
    1179:	xor    %ebp,%ebp                # zero the %rbp
    117b:	and    $0xfffffffffffffff0,%rsp # align the %rsp
    117f:	call   1000 <main>
    1184:	movzbq %al,%rdi
    1188:	mov    $0x3c,%rax
    118f:	syscall
    1191:	hlt
    1192:	data16 cs nopw 0x0(%rax,%rax,1)
    119d:	nopl   (%rax)
```

69371e0482 tools headers UAPI: Sync linux/in.h copy with the kernel sources
commit 1792a59eab upstream.

To pick the changes in:

  3218274773 ("icmp: don't send out ICMP messages with a source address of 0.0.0.0")

That don't result in any change in tooling, as INADDR_ are not used to
generate id->string tables used by 'perf trace'.

This addresses this build warning:

  Warning: Kernel ABI header at 'tools/include/uapi/linux/in.h' differs from latest version at 'include/uapi/linux/in.h'

1354ec8408 linux/bits.h: fix compilation error with GENMASK
[ Upstream commit f747e6667e ]

GENMASK() has an input check which uses __builtin_choose_expr() to
enable a compile time sanity check of its inputs if they are known at
compile time.

However, it turns out that __builtin_constant_p() does not always return
a compile time constant [0]. It was thought this problem was fixed with
gcc 4.9 [1], but apparently this is not the case [2].

Switch to use __is_constexpr() instead which always returns a compile time
constant, regardless of its inputs.

John Paul Adrian Glaubitz
e154b5060a ia64: tools: remove inclusion of ia64-specific version of errno.h header
commit 17786fea41 upstream.

There is no longer an ia64-specific version of the errno.h header below
arch/ia64/include/uapi/asm/, so trying to build tools/bpf fails with:

    CC       /usr/src/linux/tools/bpf/bpftool/btf_dumper.o
  In file included from /usr/src/linux/tools/include/linux/err.h:8,
                   from btf_dumper.c:11:
  /usr/src/linux/tools/include/uapi/asm/errno.h:13:10: fatal error: ../../../arch/ia64/include/uapi/asm/errno.h: No such file or directory
     13 | #include "../../../arch/ia64/include/uapi/asm/errno.h"
        |          ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  compilation terminated.

Thus, just remove the inclusion of the ia64-specific errno.h so that the
build will use the generic errno.h header on this target which was used
there anyway as the ia64-specific errno.h was just a wrapper for the
generic header.

a63068e939 static_call: Allow module use without exposing static_call_key
[ Upstream commit 73f44fe19d ]

When exporting static_call_key; with EXPORT_STATIC_CALL*(), the module
can use static_call_update() to change the function called. This is
not desirable in general.

Not exporting static_call_key however also disallows usage of
static_call(), since objtool needs the key to construct the
static_call_site.

Solve this by allowing objtool to create the static_call_site using
the trampoline address when it builds a module and cannot find the
static_call_key symbol. The module loader will then try and map the
trampole back to a key before it constructs the normal sites list.

Doing this requires a trampoline -> key associsation, so add another
magic section that keeps those.

433cd7ca38 static_call: Pull some static_call declarations to the type headers
[ Upstream commit 880cfed3a0 ]

Some static call declarations are going to be needed on low level header
files. Move the necessary material to the dedicated static call types
header to avoid inclusion dependency hell.

fa44968ac4 FROMGIT: mm, page_poison: remove CONFIG_PAGE_POISONING_ZERO
CONFIG_PAGE_POISONING_ZERO uses the zero pattern instead of 0xAA. It was
introduced by commit 1414c7f4f7 ("mm/page_poisoning.c: allow for zero
poisoning"), noting that using zeroes retains the benefit of sanitizing
content of freed pages, with the benefit of not having to zero them again
on alloc, and the downside of making some forms of corruption (stray
writes of NULLs) harder to detect than with the 0xAA pattern. Together
with CONFIG_PAGE_POISONING_NO_SANITY it made possible to sanitize the
contents on free without checking it back on alloc.

These days we have the init_on_free() option to achieve sanitization with
zeroes and to save clearing on alloc (and without checking on alloc).
Arguably if someone does choose to check the poison for corruption on
alloc, the savings of not clearing the page are secondary, and it makes
sense to always use the 0xAA poison pattern. Thus, remove the
CONFIG_PAGE_POISONING_ZERO option for being redundant.

aa04899a13 tools kvm headers: Update KVM headers from the kernel sources
Some should cause changes in tooling, like the one adding LAST_EXCP, but
the way it is structured end up not making that happen.

The new SVM_EXIT_INVPCID should get used by arch/x86/util/kvm-stat.c,
in the svm_exit_reasons table.

The tools/perf/trace/beauty part has scripts to catch changes and
automagically create tables, like tools/perf/trace/beauty/kvm_ioctl.sh,
but changes are needed to make tools/perf/arch/x86/util/kvm-stat.c catch
those automatically.

These were handled by the existing scripts:

  $ tools/perf/trace/beauty/kvm_ioctl.sh > before
  $ cp include/uapi/linux/kvm.h tools/include/uapi/linux/kvm.h

9ae1e990f1 perf tools: Remove broken __no_tail_call attribute
The GCC specific __attribute__((optimize)) attribute does not what is
commonly expected and is explicitly recommended against using in
production code by the GCC people.

Unlike what is often expected, it doesn't add to the optimization flags,
but it fully replaces them, loosing any and all optimization flags
provided by the compiler commandline.

The only guaranteed upon means of inhibiting tail-calls is by placing a
volatile asm with side-effects after the call such that the tail-call simply
cannot be done.

Given the original commit wasn't specific on which calls were the problem, this
removal might re-introduce the problem, which can then be re-analyzed and cured
properly.

ba452c9e99 bpf: Fix bpf_redirect_neigh helper api to support supplying nexthop
Based on the discussion in [0], update the bpf_redirect_neigh() helper to
accept an optional parameter specifying the nexthop information. This makes
it possible to combine bpf_fib_lookup() and bpf_redirect_neigh() without
incurring a duplicate FIB lookup - since the FIB lookup helper will return
the nexthop information even if no neighbour is present, this can simply
be passed on to bpf_redirect_neigh() if bpf_fib_lookup() returns
BPF_FIB_LKUP_RET_NO_NEIGH. Thus fix & extend it before helper API is frozen.

9ff9b0d392 Merge tag 'net-next-5.10' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/netdev/net-next
Pull networking updates from Jakub Kicinski:

 - Add redirect_neigh() BPF packet redirect helper, allowing to limit
   stack traversal in common container configs and improving TCP
   back-pressure.

   Daniel reports ~10Gbps => ~15Gbps single stream TCP performance gain.

 - Expand netlink policy support and improve policy export to user
   space. (Ge)netlink core performs request validation according to
   declared policies. Expand the expressiveness of those policies
   (min/max length and bitmasks). Allow dumping policies for particular
   commands. This is used for feature discovery by user space (instead
   of kernel version parsing or trial and error).

 - Support IGMPv3/MLDv2 multicast listener discovery protocols in
   bridge.

 - Allow more than 255 IPv4 multicast interfaces.

 - Add support for Type of Service (ToS) reflection in SYN/SYN-ACK
   packets of TCPv6.

 - In Multi-patch TCP (MPTCP) support concurrent transmission of data on
   multiple subflows in a load balancing scenario. Enhance advertising
   addresses via the RM_ADDR/ADD_ADDR options.

 - Support SMC-Dv2 version of SMC, which enables multi-subnet
   deployments.

 - Allow more calls to same peer in RxRPC.

 - Support two new Controller Area Network (CAN) protocols - CAN-FD and
   ISO 15765-2:2016.

 - Add xfrm/IPsec compat layer, solving the 32bit user space on 64bit
   kernel problem.

 - Add TC actions for implementing MPLS L2 VPNs.

 - Improve nexthop code - e.g. handle various corner cases when nexthop
   objects are removed from groups better, skip unnecessary
   notifications and make it easier to offload nexthops into HW by
   converting to a blocking notifier.

 - Support adding and consuming TCP header options by BPF programs,
   opening the doors for easy experimental and deployment-specific TCP
   option use.

 - Reorganize TCP congestion control (CC) initialization to simplify
   life of TCP CC implemented in BPF.

 - Add support for shipping BPF programs with the kernel and loading
   them early on boot via the User Mode Driver mechanism, hence reusing
   all the user space infra we have.

 - Support sleepable BPF programs, initially targeting LSM and tracing.

 - Add bpf_d_path() helper for returning full path for given 'struct
   path'.

 - Make bpf_tail_call compatible with bpf-to-bpf calls.

 - Allow BPF programs to call map_update_elem on sockmaps.

 - Add BPF Type Format (BTF) support for type and enum discovery, as
   well as support for using BTF within the kernel itself (current use
   is for pretty printing structures).

 - Support listing and getting information about bpf_links via the bpf
   syscall.

 - Enhance kernel interfaces around NIC firmware update. Allow
   specifying overwrite mask to control if settings etc. are reset
   during update; report expected max time operation may take to users;
   support firmware activation without machine reboot incl. limits of
   how much impact reset may have (e.g. dropping link or not).

 - Extend ethtool configuration interface to report IEEE-standard
   counters, to limit the need for per-vendor logic in user space.

 - Adopt or extend devlink use for debug, monitoring, fw update in many
   drivers (dsa loop, ice, ionic, sja1105, qed, mlxsw, mv88e6xxx,
   dpaa2-eth).

 - In mlxsw expose critical and emergency SFP module temperature alarms.
   Refactor port buffer handling to make the defaults more suitable and
   support setting these values explicitly via the DCBNL interface.

 - Add XDP support for Intel's igb driver.

 - Support offloading TC flower classification and filtering rules to
   mscc_ocelot switches.

 - Add PTP support for Marvell Octeontx2 and PP2.2 hardware, as well as
   fixed interval period pulse generator and one-step timestamping in
   dpaa-eth.

 - Add support for various auth offloads in WiFi APs, e.g. SAE (WPA3)
   offload.

 - Add Lynx PHY/PCS MDIO module, and convert various drivers which have
   this HW to use it. Convert mvpp2 to split PCS.

 - Support Marvell Prestera 98DX3255 24-port switch ASICs, as well as
   7-port Mediatek MT7531 IP.

 - Add initial support for QCA6390 and IPQ6018 in ath11k WiFi driver,
   and wcn3680 support in wcn36xx.

 - Improve performance for packets which don't require much offloads on
   recent Mellanox NICs by 20% by making multiple packets share a
   descriptor entry.

 - Move chelsio inline crypto drivers (for TLS and IPsec) from the
   crypto subtree to drivers/net. Move MDIO drivers out of the phy
   directory.

 - Clean up a lot of W=1 warnings, reportedly the actively developed
   subsections of networking drivers should now build W=1 warning free.

 - Make sure drivers don't use in_interrupt() to dynamically adapt their
   code. Convert tasklets to use new tasklet_setup API (sadly this
   conversion is not yet complete).

 "This introduces static_call(), which is the idea of static_branch()
  applied to indirect function calls. Remove a data load (indirection)
  by modifying the text.

  They give the flexibility of function pointers, but with better
  performance. (This is especially important for cases where retpolines
  would otherwise be used, as retpolines can be pretty slow.)

  API overview:

      DECLARE_STATIC_CALL(name, func);
      DEFINE_STATIC_CALL(name, func);
      DEFINE_STATIC_CALL_NULL(name, typename);

      static_call(name)(args...);
      static_call_cond(name)(args...);
      static_call_update(name, func);

  x86 is supported via text patching, otherwise basic indirect calls are
  used, with function pointers.

  There's a second variant using inline code patching, inspired by
  jump-labels, implemented on x86 as well.

  The new APIs are utilized in the x86 perf code, a heavy user of
  function pointers, where static calls speed up the PMU handler by
  4.2% (!).

4a8f87e60f bpf: Allow for map-in-map with dynamic inner array map entries
Recent work in f4d0525921 ("bpf: Add map_meta_equal map ops") and 134fede4ee
("bpf: Relax max_entries check for most of the inner map types") added support
for dynamic inner max elements for most map-in-map types. Exceptions were maps
like array or prog array where the map_gen_lookup() callback uses the maps'
max_entries field as a constant when emitting instructions.

We recently implemented Maglev consistent hashing into Cilium's load balancer
which uses map-in-map with an outer map being hash and inner being array holding
the Maglev backend table for each service. This has been designed this way in
order to reduce overall memory consumption given the outer hash map allows to
avoid preallocating a large, flat memory area for all services. Also, the
number of service mappings is not always known a-priori.

The use case for dynamic inner array map entries is to further reduce memory
overhead, for example, some services might just have a small number of back
ends while others could have a large number. Right now the Maglev backend table
for small and large number of backends would need to have the same inner array
map entries which adds a lot of unneeded overhead.

Dynamic inner array map entries can be realized by avoiding the inlined code
generation for their lookup. The lookup will still be efficient since it will
be calling into array_map_lookup_elem() directly and thus avoiding retpoline.
The patch adds a BPF_F_INNER_MAP flag to map creation which therefore skips
inline code generation and relaxes array_map_meta_equal() check to ignore both
maps' max_entries. This also still allows to have faster lookups for map-in-map
when BPF_F_INNER_MAP is not specified and hence dynamic max_entries not needed.

Example code generation where inner map is dynamic sized array:

  # bpftool p d x i 125
  int handle__sys_enter(void * ctx):
  ; int handle__sys_enter(void *ctx)
     0: (b4) w1 = 0

     3: (07) r2 += -4
  ; inner_map = bpf_map_lookup_elem(&outer_arr_dyn, &key);
     4: (18) r1 = map[id:468]
     6: (07) r1 += 272
     7: (61) r0 = *(u32 *)(r2 +0)

9aa1206e8f bpf: Add redirect_peer helper
Add an efficient ingress to ingress netns switch that can be used out of tc BPF
programs in order to redirect traffic from host ns ingress into a container
veth device ingress without having to go via CPU backlog queue [0]. For local
containers this can also be utilized and path via CPU backlog queue only needs
to be taken once, not twice. On a high level this borrows from ipvlan which does
similar switch in __netif_receive_skb_core() and then iterates via another_round.
This helps to reduce latency for mentioned use cases.

Add bpf_this_cpu_ptr() to help access percpu var on this cpu. This

during all the execution of the program.

eaa6bcb71e bpf: Introduce bpf_per_cpu_ptr()
Add bpf_per_cpu_ptr() to help bpf programs access percpu vars.
bpf_per_cpu_ptr() has the same semantic as per_cpu_ptr() in the kernel

out of range. So the caller must check the returned value.

4976b718c3 bpf: Introduce pseudo_btf_id
Pseudo_btf_id is a type of ld_imm insn that associates a btf_id to a
ksym so that further dereferences on the ksym can use the BTF info
to validate accesses. Internally, when seeing a pseudo_btf_id ld insn,
the verifier reads the btf_id stored in the insn[0]'s imm field and
marks the dst_reg as PTR_TO_BTF_ID. The btf_id points to a VAR_KIND,
which is encoded in btf_vminux by pahole. If the VAR is not of a struct
type, the dst reg will be marked as PTR_TO_MEM instead of PTR_TO_BTF_ID
and the mem_size is resolved to the size of the VAR's type.

>From the VAR btf_id, the verifier can also read the address of the
ksym's corresponding kernel var from kallsyms and use that to fill
dst_reg.

Therefore, the proper functionality of pseudo_btf_id depends on (1)
kallsyms and (2) the encoding of kernel global VARs in pahole, which
should be available since pahole v1.18.

792caccc45 bpf: Introduce BPF_F_PRESERVE_ELEMS for perf event array
Currently, perf event in perf event array is removed from the array when
the map fd used to add the event is closed. This behavior makes it
difficult to the share perf events with perf event array.

Introduce perf event map that keeps the perf event open with a new flag
BPF_F_PRESERVE_ELEMS. With this flag set, perf events in the array are not
removed when the original map fd is closed. Instead, the perf event will
stay in the map until 1) it is explicitly removed from the array; or 2)
the array is freed.

b4ab314149 bpf: Add redirect_neigh helper as redirect drop-in
Add a redirect_neigh() helper as redirect() drop-in replacement
for the xmit side. Main idea for the helper is to be very similar
in semantics to the latter just that the skb gets injected into
the neighboring subsystem in order to let the stack do the work
it knows best anyway to populate the L2 addresses of the packet
and then hand over to dev_queue_xmit() as redirect() does.

This solves two bigger items: i) skbs don't need to go up to the
stack on the host facing veth ingress side for traffic egressing
the container to achieve the same for populating L2 which also
has the huge advantage that ii) the skb->sk won't get orphaned in
ip_rcv_core() when entering the IP routing layer on the host stack.

Given that skb->sk neither gets orphaned when crossing the netns
as per 9c4c325252 ("skbuff: preserve sock reference when scrubbing
the skb.") the helper can then push the skbs directly to the phys
device where FQ scheduler can do its work and TCP stack gets proper
backpressure given we hold on to skb->sk as long as skb is still
residing in queues.

With the helper used in BPF data path to then push the skb to the
phys device, I observed a stable/consistent TCP_STREAM improvement
on veth devices for traffic going container -> host -> host ->
container from ~10Gbps to ~15Gbps for a single stream in my test
environment.
