fef7513a60 media: gp8psk: initialize stats at power control logic
commit d0ac1a26ed upstream.

As reported on:
	https://lore.kernel.org/linux-media/20190627222020.45909-1-willemdebruijn.kernel@gmail.com/

if gp8psk_usb_in_op() returns an error, the status var is not
initialized. Yet, this var is used later on, in order to
identify:
	- if the device was already started;
	- if firmware has loaded;
	- if the LNBf was powered on.

Using status = 0 seems to ensure that everything will be
properly powered up.

So, instead of the proposed solution, let's just set
status = 0.

5bbf1d90ac media: netup_unidvb: Don't leak SPI master in probe error path
commit e297ddf296 upstream.

If the call to spi_register_master() fails on probe of the NetUP
Universal DVB driver, the spi_master struct is erroneously not freed.

Likewise, if spi_new_device() fails, the spi_controller struct is
not unregistered. Plug the leaks.

While at it, fix an ordering issue in netup_spi_release() wherein
spi_unregister_master() is called after fiddling with the IRQ control
register. The correct order is to call spi_unregister_master() *before*
this teardown step because bus accesses may still be ongoing until that
function returns.

9adb2dc078 media: sunxi-cir: ensure IR is handled when it is continuous
commit 3f56df4c8f upstream.

If a user holds a button down on a remote, then no ir idle interrupt will
be generated until the user releases the button, depending on how quickly
the remote repeats. No IR is processed until that point, which means that
holding down a button may not do anything.

This also resolves an issue on a Cubieboard 1 where the IR receiver is
picking up ambient infrared as IR and spews out endless
"rc rc0: IR event FIFO is full!" messages unless you choose to live in
the dark.

bce03bc8f0 media: gspca: Fix memory leak in probe
commit e469d0b09a upstream.

The gspca driver leaks memory when a probe fails. gspca_dev_probe2()
calls v4l2_device_register(), which takes a reference to the
underlying device node (in this case, a USB interface). But the
failure pathway neglects to call v4l2_device_unregister(), the routine
responsible for dropping this reference. Consequently the memory for
the USB interface and its device never gets released.

This patch adds the missing function call.

17d2013c97 media: uvcvideo: Ensure all probed info is returned to v4l2
[ Upstream commit 8a652a17e3 ]

bFrameIndex and bFormatIndex can be negotiated by the camera during
probing, resulting in the camera choosing a different format than
expected. v4l2 can already accommodate such changes, but the code was
not updating the proper fields.

Without such a change, v4l2 would potentially interpret the payload
incorrectly, causing corrupted output. This was happening on the
Elgato HD60 S+, which currently always renegotiates to format 1.

As an aside, the Elgato firmware is buggy and should not be renegotating,
but it is still a valid thing for the camera to do. Both macOS and Windows
will properly probe and read uncorrupted images from this camera.

With this change, both qv4l2 and chromium can now read uncorrupted video
from the Elgato HD60 S+.

f5245a4e15 media: ti-vpe: cal: Restrict DMA to avoid memory corruption
[ Upstream commit 6e72eab2e7 ]

When setting DMA for video capture from CSI channel, if the DMA size
is not given, it ends up writing as much data as sent by the camera.

This may lead to overwriting the buffers causing memory corruption.
Observed green lines on the default framebuffer.

Restrict the DMA to maximum height as specified in the S_FMT ioctl.

27320aa198 media: pci: ttpci: av7110: fix possible buffer overflow caused by bad DMA value in debiirq()
[ Upstream commit 6499a0db9b ]

The value av7110->debi_virt is stored in DMA memory, and it is assigned
to data, and thus data[0] can be modified at any time by malicious
hardware. In this case, "if (data[0] < 2)" can be passed, but then
data[0] can be changed into a large number, which may cause buffer
overflow when the code "av7110->ci_slot[data[0]]" is used.

To fix this possible bug, data[0] is assigned to a local variable, which
replaces the use of data[0].

[ Upstream commit dd844fb8e5 ]

Enabling CONFIG_DMA_API_DEBUG=y and CONFIG_DMA_API_DEBUG_SG=y will
enable extra validation on DMA operations ensuring that the size
restraints are met.

When using the FCP in conjunction with the VSP1/DU, and display frames,
the size of the DMA operations is larger than the default maximum
segment size reported by the DMA core (64K). With the DMA debug enabled,
this produces a warning such as the following:

"DMA-API: rcar-fcp fea27000.fcp: mapping sg segment longer than device
claims to support [len=3145728] [max=65536]"

We have no specific limitation on the segment size which isn't already
handled by the VSP1/DU which actually handles the DMA allcoations and
buffer management, so define a maximum segment size of up to 4GB (a 32
bit mask).
