For some reason firmware is sending invalid rates when we try to
query current bitrate from ath6kl_get_station() and a warning is issued:

As the warning happens way too often, convert the warning to a debug
message once we have a proper fix. But to make it easy to follow
how often the problem appears, add a debugfs to print
various statistics about workarounds and make this issue the first WAR.

Storing the struct temp_data pointer allocated from create_core_data()
when returning an error has the potential of leaving around a pointer
to freed memory. Reset it to NULL for error returns.

With recent change "hwmon: (coretemp) don't use kernel assigned CPU
number as platform device ID", the microcode check is now running on
random CPU. Fix that by checking the microcode before creating the
platform device rather than at probe time.
Also avoid calling TO_PHYS_ID(cpu) twice in the same function, it's
expensive.

A kernel crash is observed when a mounted ext3/ext4 filesystem is
physically removed. The problem is that blk_cleanup_queue() frees up
some resources eg by calling elevator_exit(), which are not checked for
in normal operation. So we should rather move these calls to the
destructor function blk_release_queue() as at that point all remaining
references are gone. However, in doing so we have to ensure that any
externally supplied queue_lock is disconnected as the driver might free
up the lock after the call of blk_cleanup_queue(),

directly. The helper functions will grab an exclusive lock. Because
we'll have acquired the same lock we need to avoid a deadlock.

For almost all machines the DAI format is a constant, always set to the
same thing. This means that not only should we normally set it on init
rather than in hw_params() (where it has been for historical reasons) we
should also allow users to configure this by setting a variable in the
dai_link structure. The combination of these two will make many machine
drivers even more data driven.
Implement a new dai_fmt field in the dai_link doing just that. Since 0 is
a valid value for many format flags and we need to be able to tell if the
field is actually set also add one to all the values used to configure
formats.

The mxc_init_l2x0() should really be an imx31/35 specific call.
The patch removes early_initcall from mxc_init_l2x0() and get imx31
and imx35 soc specific function calls mxc_init_l2x0(), so that it's
not necessarily to be called for all imx socs when we build single
image for multiple imx socs.
Thus the function can be renamed to imx3_init_l2x0() and put into
mm-imx3.c. It also changes the return type from integer to void.
From what I see, the integer was picked just to satisfy early_initcall
prototype.
With the patch 'ARM: l2x0: add empty l2x0_of_init' applied, the code
compiles even without CONFIG_CACHE_L2X0 enabled.

Currently the shdma dmaengine driver uses runtime PM to save power, when
no channel on the specific controller is requested by a user. This patch
switches the driver to count individual DMA transfers. That way the
controller can be powered down between transfers, even if some of its
channels are in use.

The IRQ handler of the shdma driver accesses common hardware registers,
that are also accessed from other contexts. Therefore access to them
has to be performed with interrupts disabled, not only with disabled
bottom halves.

Commit bd03a3e4 "TOMOYO: Add policy namespace support." introduced policy
namespace. But as of /sbin/modprobe is executed from initramfs/initrd, profiles
for target domain's namespace is not defined because /sbin/tomoyo-init is not
yet called.

The new connection parameters now match the recommended values for
Proximity and Health Thermometer profiles. The previous values were
ramdomly chosen, and are either too low or too high for most cases.
New values:
Scan Interval: 60 ms
Scan Window: 30 ms
Minimum Connection Interval: 50 ms
Maximum Connection Interval: 70 ms
Supervision Timeout: 420 ms
See "Table 5.2: Recommended Scan Interval and Scan Window Values" and
"Table 5.3: Recommended Connection Interval Values" for both profiles
for details. Note that the "fast connection" parameters were chosen,
because we do not support yet dynamically changing these parameters from
initiator side.
Additionally, the Proximity profile recommends (section "4.4 Alert on
Link Loss"):
"It is recommended that the Link Supervision Timeout (LSTO) is set to 6x
the connection interval."
Minimum_CE_Length and Maximum_CE_Length were also changed from 0x0001 to
0x0000 because they are informational and optional, and old value was
not reflecting reality.

Use sk_buff fragment capabilities to link together incoming skbs
instead of allocating a new skb for reassembly and copying.
The new reassembly code works equally well for ERTM and streaming
mode, so there is now one reassembly function instead of two.

ERTM reassembly will be more efficient when skbs are linked together
rather than copying every incoming data byte. The existing stream recv
function assumes skbs are linear, so it needs to know how to handle
fragments before reassembly is changed.
bt_sock_recvmsg() already handles fragmented skbs.

Fragmented skbs are only encountered when receiving ERTM or streaming
mode L2CAP data. BNEP, CMTP, HIDP, and RFCOMM generally use basic
mode, but they need to handle fragments without crashing.

Removed tests which prevent transmission of ACL packets
when the device is in HCI_RAW mode. These tests verified that
there are ACL or LE links currently tracked by the HCI
connection manager. However, a HCI_RAW mode device does not
use the connection manager. In these circumstances, the connection
counts will be zero, and thus, transmitted ACL packets dropped.
The acl_num test is actually a vestige of a previous bulk URB
scheme that is no longer used by this driver (bulk URBs were not
started until at least one ACL connection was created). This was
incompatible with some endpoint implementations and was dropped -
see commit 43c2e57f94.
The utility of these tests is marginal - currently, the hci tx
scheduler cannot send an ACL or LE packet for an untracked connection
(except if the device is in HCI_RAW mode).
Lastly, no other transport layer driver enforces these same tests.
