As we've only got one audio interface and it is symmetric we can just set
SYSCLK based on the sample rate requested by the application layer. Provide
a default so bypass paths work before audio playback.

The Terratec Aureon 5.1 USB sound card support is broken since kernel
2.6.39.
2.6.39 introduced power management support for USB sound cards that added
a probing flag in struct snd_usb_audio.
During the probe of the card it gives following error message :

I can not comment about that "cannot find UAC_HEADER" error, but until
2.6.38 the card worked anyway.
With 2.6.39 chip->probing remains 1 on error exit, and any later ioctl
stops in snd_usb_autoresume with -ENODEV.

- Add "AD198x Headphone" playback device for independent headphone playback
while playing 7.1 surround using rear panel audio jacks.
- Remove "6stack-dig-fp" model since "Headphone Playback Volume" control using
DAC0 instead of DAC1 (HDA_FRONT) was already added to all models.
- Add "Independent HP" switch to enable/disable this playback device.
When the switch is OFF, headphone use "copy front" mode to get the front
channel as the green jack.
When the switch is ON, you can play stereo sound through "AD198x Headphone"
device to headphone while playing 7.1 surround sound through "AD198x Analog"
device.
The switch cannot be changed when either "AD198x Headphone" or "AD198X Analog"
is open.

DVOOutputControl checks the value of of bios scratch reg 3
on some tables and assumes the encoder is already enabled
if the DFP2_ACTIVE bit is set. Clear that bit so the table
sets the DDIA enable bit properly.

Use the AP_MAX_LINKS as the upper boundary for traversing the links array,
thereby guaranteeing BA sessions with all connected STAs are stopped when
the stop_ba event is received.

For NFC v1, the unlock end block address was 0x4000, which would only
unlock the first 32 blocks of the NAND flash. Change that value to
0xffff to unlock all available blocks, as is done for NFC v21 as well.

On roaming, the auth and assoc req are sent with the sta
hlid. This is wrong, as the sta hlid is configured according
to the old ap. Use the dev_hlid instead.
Move the wl1271_tx_update_filters() call into wl1271_tx_get_hlid(),
so wl->dev_hlid will be valid.

wl12xx uses a single probe response template, regardless of
the probe request.
However, the P2P spec forbids including the p2p ie in some
cases (e.g. the probe request didn't include the p2p ie).
The fw responds only to probe requests that don't
include the p2p ie, and passes up probe requests that
include them (the supplicant will answer them).
Thus, strip the p2p ie from the probe response template.

wl12xx uses the beacon as the probe response template.
However, the beacon includes a TIM ie, which shouldn't
exist in the probe response.
Delete it from the skb before configuring the probe
response template.

been broken for a while. This patch fixes the code that powers the
card on and off.
Also made some small indentation fixes in the Makefile.

Since our irq handler has been called, it is granted, that
the reason was either PLUGINT, or UNPLUGINT.
The INTID register has been checked in the MFD part of
twl6040 driver (twl6040-irq.c).
We have no reason to read from chip again here.

Attempt to change McBSP CLKS source while another stream is active is not
safe after commit d135865 ("OMAP: McBSP: implement functional clock
switching via clock framework") in 2.6.37.
CLKS parent clock switching using clock framework have to idle the McBSP
before switching and then activate it again. This short break can cause a
DMA transaction error to already running stream which halts and recovers
only by closing and restarting the stream.
This goes more fatal after commit e2fa61d ("OMAP3: l3: Introduce
l3-interconnect error handling driver") in 2.6.39 where l3 driver detects a
severe timeout error and does BUG_ON().
Fix this by not changing any configuration in omap_mcbsp_dai_set_dai_sysclk
if the McBSP is already active. This test should have been here just from
the beginning anyway.

The md_notify_reboot() method includes a call to mdelay(1000),
to deal with "exotic SCSI devices" which are too volatile on
reboot. The delay is unconditional. Even if the machine does
not have any block devices, let alone MD devices, the kernel
shutdown sequence is slowed down.
1 second does not matter much with physical hardware, but with
certain virtualization use cases any wasted time in the bootup
& shutdown sequence counts for alot.

there was at least one MD device to be stopped during reboot

Driver does not report disconnect event properly when in connecting state,
this leads to issues failures in starting reconnection. Send a disconnect
command to target when a disconnect event is received with reason code
other than 3 (DISCONNECT_CMD - disconnect request from host) to make the
frimware stop trying to connect even after giving disconnect event. There
will be one more disconnect event for this disconnect command with reason
code DISCONNECT_CMD which will be notified to cfg80211.

When pinging form ar6003 to the AP RTT was high even when power save was
disabled:
100 packets transmitted, 97 received, 3% packet loss, time 99125ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 1.875/46.733/795.506/139.181 ms
After some investigation one reason for this was that received
multicast traffic confused the aggrecation logic and caused 400 ms
timeouts when receiving multicast frames from AP.
A simple way to fix is to pass only unicast frames for aggregation. This
improves RTT:
100 packets transmitted, 99 received, 1% packet loss, time 99144ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 2.083/13.084/403.390/56.794 ms

On certain architectures, there might be a need to mark certain
addresses with strongly ordered memory attributes to avoid ordering
issues at the interconnect level.
On OMAP4, the asynchronous bridge buffers can only be drained
with strongly ordered accesses and hence the need to mark the
memory strongly ordered.

When the cpu is powered down in a low power mode, the gic cpu
interface may be reset, and when the cpu cluster is powered
down, the gic distributor may also be reset.
This patch uses CPU_PM_ENTER and CPU_PM_EXIT notifiers to save
and restore the gic cpu interface registers, and the
CPU_CLUSTER_PM_ENTER and CPU_CLUSTER_PM_EXIT notifiers to save
and restore the gic distributor registers.

During some CPU power modes entered during idle, hotplug and
suspend, peripherals located in the CPU power domain, such as
the GIC, localtimers, and VFP, may be powered down. Add a
notifier chain that allows drivers for those peripherals to
be notified before and after they may be reset.
Notified drivers can include VFP co-processor, interrupt controller
and it's PM extensions, local CPU timers context save/restore which
shouldn't be interrupted. Hence CPU PM event APIs must be called
with interrupts disabled.

Convert i.MX avic irq handler to use generic irq chip. This not only
provides a cleanup implementation of irq chip handler, but also
implements suspend/resume interface with the help of generic irq chip
interface.
Change mxc_irq_chip to a new structure mxc_extra_irq to handle fiq
and priority functions.

Smatch has a new check for Rosenberg type information leaks where
structs are copied to the user with uninitialized stack data in them.
The status struct has a hole in it, and on some paths not all the
members were initialized.

Some devices have a dma-window that starts at the address 0. This allows
DMA addresses to be mapped to this address and returned to drivers as a
valid DMA address. Some drivers may not behave well in this case, since
the address 0 is considered an error or not allocated.
The solution to avoid this kind of error from happening is reserve the
page addressed as 0 so it cannot be allocated for a DMA mapping.

Commit 41151e77a4 ("powerpc: Hugetlb for BookE") added some
#ifdef CONFIG_MM_SLICES conditionals to hugetlb_get_unmapped_area()
and vma_mmu_pagesize(). Unfortunately this is not the correct config
symbol; it should be CONFIG_PPC_MM_SLICES. The result is that
attempting to use hugetlbfs on 64-bit Power server processors results
in an infinite stack recursion between get_unmapped_area() and
hugetlb_get_unmapped_area().
This fixes it by changing the #ifdef to use CONFIG_PPC_MM_SLICES
in those functions and also in book3e_hugetlb_preload().

This patch changes the call of tpm_transmit by supplying the size of the
userspace buffer instead of TPM_BUFSIZE.
This got assigned CVE-2011-1161.
[The first hunk didn't make sense given one could expect
way less data than TPM_BUFSIZE, so added tpm_transmit boundary
check over bufsiz instead
The last parameter of tpm_transmit() reflects the amount
of data expected from the device, and not the buffer size
being supplied to it. It isn't ideal to parse it directly,
so we just set it to the maximum the input buffer can handle
and let the userspace API to do such job.]
