927b5edaa1 media: coda: Remove unbalanced and unneeded mutex unlock
commit 766b9b168f upstream.

The mutex unlock in the threaded interrupt handler is not paired
with any mutex lock. Remove it.

This bug has been here for a really long time, so it applies
to any stable repo.

4652722d6d media: v4l2: Test type instead of cfg->type in v4l2_ctrl_new_custom()

98f458f2a6 media: coda: increment sequence offset for the last returned frame

If no more frames are decoded in bitstream end mode, and a previously
decoded frame has been returned, the firmware still increments the frame
number. To avoid a sequence number mismatch after decoder restart,
increment the sequence_offset correction parameter.

Sequence number handling assumed that the BIT processor frame number
starts counting at 1, but this is not true for the MPEG-2 decoder,
which starts at 0. Fix the sequence counter offset detection to handle
this.

7897961f80 media: media_device_enum_links32: clean a reserved field

In v4l2-compliance utility, test MEDIA_IOC_ENUM_ENTITIES
will check whether reserved field of media_links_enum filled
with zero.

However, for 32 bit program, the reserved field is missing
copy from kernel space to user space in media_device_enum_links32
function.

This patch adds the cleaning a reserved field logic in
media_device_enum_links32 function.

b91c7b47ea media: marvell-ccic: fix DMA s/g desc number calculation

The commit d790b7eda9 ("[media] vb2-dma-sg: move dma_(un)map_sg here")
left dma_desc_nent unset. It previously contained the number of DMA
descriptors as returned from dma_map_sg().

We can now (since the commit referred to above) obtain the same value from
the sg_table and drop dma_desc_nent altogether.

Tested on OLPC XO-1.75 machine. Doesn't affect the OLPC XO-1's Cafe
driver, since that one doesn't do DMA.

a32e504fa2 media: uvcvideo: Fix uvc_alloc_entity() allocation alignment

The use of ALIGN() in uvc_alloc_entity() is incorrect, since the size of
(entity->pads) is not a power of two. As a stop-gap, until a better
solution is adapted, use roundup() instead.

Found by a static assertion. Compile-tested only.

Most Siano devices require an alignment for the response.

Changeset f3be52b0056a ("media: usb: siano: Fix general protection fault in smsusb")
changed the logic with gets such aligment, but it now produces a
sparce warning:

6ecd180900 media: usb: siano: Fix general protection fault in smsusb
commit 31e0456de5 upstream.

The syzkaller USB fuzzer found a general-protection-fault bug in the
smsusb part of the Siano DVB driver.  The fault occurs during probe
because the driver assumes without checking that the device has both
IN and OUT endpoints and the IN endpoint is ep1.

By slightly rearranging the driver's initialization code, we can make
the appropriate checks early on and thus avoid the problem.  If the
expected endpoints aren't present, the new code safely returns -ENODEV
from the probe routine.

Users are experiencing problems with the DVBSky S960/S960C USB devices
since the following commit:

9d659ae: ("locking/mutex: Add lock handoff to avoid starvation")

The device malfunctions after running for an indeterminable period of
time, and the problem can only be cleared by rebooting the machine.

It is possible to encourage the problem to surface by blocking the
signal to the LNB.

Further debugging revealed the cause of the problem.

Two i2c messages are sent to perform a reset in m88ds3103_set_frontend:

  a. 0x07, 0x80
  b. 0x07, 0x00

However, as shown in the capture, the regmap mutex is being handed over
to another thread (ts2020_stat_work) in between these two messages.

>From here, the device responds to every i2c message with an 07 message,
and will only return to normal operation following a power cycle.

Use regmap_multi_reg_write to group the two reset messages, ensuring
both are processed before the regmap mutex is unlocked.

7b98acf18e media: wl128x: prevent two potential buffer overflows

Smatch marks skb->data as untrusted so it warns that "evt_hdr->dlen"
can copy up to 255 bytes and we only have room for two bytes.  Even
if this comes from the firmware and we trust it, the new policy
generally is just to fix it as kernel hardenning.

I can't test this code so I tried to be very conservative.  I considered
not allowing "evt_hdr->dlen == 1" because it doesn't initialize the
whole variable but in the end I decided to allow it and manually
initialized "asic_id" and "asic_ver" to zero.

The ctrl_check_input() function is called from pvr2_ctrl_range_check().
It's supposed to validate user supplied input and return true or false
depending on whether the input is valid or not.  The problem is that
negative shifts or shifts greater than 31 are undefined in C.  In
practice with GCC they result in shift wrapping so this function returns
true for some inputs which are not valid and this could result in a
buffer overflow:

    warn: uncapped user index 'names[val]'

The cptr->hdw->input_allowed_mask mask is configured in pvr2_hdw_create()
and the highest valid bit is BIT(4).

state first. When unbind happens while bind is in progress, usbdev

32696debee media: ov2659: make S_FMT succeed even if requested format doesn't match

This driver returns an error if unsupported media bus pixel code is
requested by VIDIOC_SUBDEV_S_FMT.

But according to Documentation/media/uapi/v4l/vidioc-subdev-g-fmt.rst,

Drivers must not return an error solely because the requested format
doesn't match the device capabilities. They must instead modify the
format to match what the hardware can provide.

So select default format code and return success in that case.

This is detected by v4l2-compliance.

f84c1010c0 media: au0828: stop video streaming only when last user stops

If the application was streaming from both videoX and vbiX, and streaming
from videoX was stopped, then the vbi streaming also stopped.

The cause being that stop_streaming for video stopped the subdevs as well,
instead of only doing that if dev->streaming_users reached 0.

au0828_stop_vbi_streaming was also wrong since it didn't stop the subdevs
at all when dev->streaming_users reached 0.

initialized.  Move the v4l2_clk_get() to ov6650_video_probe() helper
which is going to be converted to v4l2_subdev_internal_ops.registered()
callback, executed only when the bridge driver is ready.

48f0cdf025 media: ov6650: Fix sensor possibly not detected on probe
commit 933c132084 upstream.

After removal of clock_start() from before soc_camera_init_i2c() in
soc_camera_probe() by commit 9aea470b39 ("[media] soc-camera: switch
I2C subdevice drivers to use v4l2-clk") introduced in v3.11, the ov6650
driver could no longer probe the sensor successfully because its clock
was no longer turned on in advance.  The issue was initially worked
around by adding that missing clock_start() equivalent to OMAP1 camera
interface driver - the only user of this sensor - but a propoer fix
should be rather implemented in the sensor driver code itself.

Fix the issue by inserting a delay between the clock is turned on and
the sensor I2C registers are read for the first time.

Tested on Amstrad Delta with now out of tree but still locally
maintained omap1_camera host driver.

The following commits:
commit f6dd927f34 ("[media] media: ov7670: calculate framerate properly for ov7675")
commit 04ee6d9204 ("[media] media: ov7670: add possibility to bypass pll for ov7675")
introduced the ability to bypass PLL multiplier and use input clock (xvclk)
as pixel clock output frequency for ov7675 sensor.

PLL is bypassed using register DBLV[7:6], according to ov7670 and ov7675
sensor manuals. Macros used to set DBLV register seem wrong in the
driver, as their values do not match what reported in the datasheet.

Fix by changing DBLV_* macros to use bits [7:6] and set bits [3:0] to
default 0x0a reserved value (according to datasheets).

While at there, remove a write to DBLV register in
"ov7675_set_framerate()" that over-writes the previous one to the same
register that takes "info->pll_bypass" flag into account instead of setting PLL
multiplier to 4x unconditionally.

And, while at there, since "info->pll_bypass" is only used in
set/get_framerate() functions used by ov7675 only, it is not necessary
to check for the device id at probe time to make sure that when using
ov7670 "info->pll_bypass" is set to false.

b956497426 media: s5p-jpeg: Check for fmt_ver_flag when doing fmt enumeration

Previously when doing format enumeration, it was returning all
 formats supported by driver, even if they're not supported by hw.
Add missing check for fmt_ver_flag, so it'll be fixed and only those
 supported by hw will be returned. Similar thing is already done
 in s5p_jpeg_find_format.

It was found by using v4l2-compliance tool and checking result
 of VIDIOC_ENUM_FMT/FRAMESIZES/FRAMEINTERVALS test
and using v4l2-ctl to get list of all supported formats.

Tested on s5pv210-galaxys (Samsung i9000 phone).

d54a396379 media: v4l2-ctrls.c/uvc: zero v4l2_event
commit f45f3f753b upstream.

Control events can leak kernel memory since they do not fully zero the
event. The same code is present in both v4l2-ctrls.c and uvc_ctrl.c, so
fix both.

It appears that all other event code is properly zeroing the structure,
it's these two places.

7e1b5809df media: uvcvideo: Avoid NULL pointer dereference at the end of streaming
commit 9dd0627d8d upstream.

The UVC video driver converts the timestamp from hardware specific unit
to one known by the kernel at the time when the buffer is dequeued. This
is fine in general, but the streamoff operation consists of the
following steps (among other things):

1. uvc_video_clock_cleanup --- the hardware clock sample array is
   released and the pointer to the array is set to NULL,

2. buffers in active state are returned to the user and

3. buf_finish callback is called on buffers that are prepared.
   buf_finish includes calling uvc_video_clock_update that accesses the
   hardware clock sample array.

The above is serialised by a queue specific mutex. Address the problem
by skipping the clock conversion if the hardware clock sample array is
already released.

7f422aa63d media: videobuf2-v4l2: drop WARN_ON in vb2_warn_zero_bytesused()
commit 5e99456c20 upstream.

Userspace shouldn't set bytesused to 0 for output buffers.
vb2_warn_zero_bytesused() warns about this (only once!), but it also
calls WARN_ON(1), which is confusing since it is not immediately clear
that it warns about a 0 value for bytesused.

Just drop the WARN_ON as it serves no purpose.

47d77d464e media: uvcvideo: Fix 'type' check leading to overflow
commit 47bb117911 upstream.

When initially testing the Camera Terminal Descriptor wTerminalType
field (buffer[4]), no mask is used. Later in the function, the MSB is
overloaded to store the descriptor subtype, and so a mask of 0x7fff
is used to check the type.

If a descriptor is specially crafted to set this overloaded bit in the
original wTerminalType field, the initial type check will fail (falling
through, without adjusting the buffer size), but the later type checks
will pass, assuming the buffer has been made suitably large, causing an
overflow.

Avoid this problem by checking for the MSB in the wTerminalType field.
If the bit is set, assume the descriptor is bad, and abort parsing it.

ac71285b66 media: adv*/tc358743/ths8200: fill in min width/height/pixelclock

The v4l2_dv_timings_cap struct is used to do sanity checks when setting and
enumerating DV timings, ensuring that only valid timings as per the HW
capabilities are allowed.

However, many drivers just filled in 0 for the minimum width, height or
pixelclock frequency. This can cause timings with e.g. 0 as width and height
to be accepted, which will in turn lead to a potential division by zero.

Fill in proper values are minimum boundaries. 640x350 was chosen since it is
the smallest resolution in v4l2-dv-timings.h. Same for 13 MHz as the lowest
pixelclock frequency (it's slightly below the minimum of 13.5 MHz in the
v4l2-dv-timings.h header).

e89662f06a media: vb2: vb2_mmap: move lock up
commit cd26d1c4d1 upstream.

If a filehandle is dup()ped, then it is possible to close it from one fd
and call mmap from the other. This creates a race condition in vb2_mmap
where it is using queue data that __vb2_queue_free (called from close())
is in the process of releasing.

By moving up the mutex_lock(mmap_lock) in vb2_mmap this race is avoided
since __vb2_queue_free is called with the same mutex locked. So vb2_mmap
now reads consistent buffer data.

kthread_run returns an error pointer, but elsewhere in the code
dev->kthread_vid_cap/out is checked against NULL.

If kthread_run returns an error, then set the pointer to NULL.

I chose this method over changing all kthread_vid_cap/out tests
elsewhere since this is more robust.
