1db036d13e wifi: brcmfmac: Fix potential shift-out-of-bounds in brcmf_fw_alloc_request()

This patch fixes a shift-out-of-bounds in brcmfmac that occurs in
BIT(chiprev) when a 'chiprev' provided by the device is too large.
It should also not be equal to or greater than BITS_PER_TYPE(u32)
as we do bitwise AND with a u32 variable and BIT(chiprev). The patch
adds a check that makes the function return NULL if that is the case.
Note that the NULL case is later handled by the bus-specific caller,
brcmf_usb_probe_cb() or brcmf_usb_reset_resume(), for example.

Found by a modified version of syzkaller.

In ar5523_probe(), ar5523_host_available() calls ar5523_cmd() as below
(there are other functions which finally call ar5523_cmd()):

ar5523_probe()
-> ar5523_host_available()
   -> ar5523_cmd_read()
      -> ar5523_cmd()

If ar5523_cmd() timed out, then ar5523_host_available() failed and
ar5523_probe() freed the device structure.  So, ar5523_cmd_tx_cb()
might touch the freed structure.

This patch fixes this issue by canceling in-flight tx cmd if submitted
urb timed out.

932f0a5e82 wifi: ath9k: verify the expected usb_endpoints are present

The bug arises when a USB device claims to be an ATH9K but doesn't
have the expected endpoints. (In this case there was an interrupt
endpoint where the driver expected a bulk endpoint.) The kernel
needs to be able to handle such devices without getting an internal error.

5a55f0336c wifi: rtl8xxxu: Add __packed to struct rtl8723bu_c2h

This struct is used to access a sequence of bytes received from the
wifi chip. It must not have any padding bytes between the members.

This doesn't change anything on my system, possibly because currently
none of the members need more than byte alignment.

a4505bb429 wifi: ath10k: Fix return value in ath10k_pci_init()

This driver is attempting to register to support two different buses.
if either of these is successful then ath10k_pci_init() should return 0
so that hardware attached to the successful bus can be probed and
supported. only if both of these are unsuccessful should ath10k_pci_init()
return an errno.

5e8751a977 wifi: ath9k: hif_usb: Fix use-after-free in ath9k_hif_usb_reg_in_cb()

It is possible that skb is freed in ath9k_htc_rx_msg(), then
usb_submit_urb() fails and we try to free skb again. It causes
use-after-free bug. Moreover, if alloc_skb() fails, urb->context becomes
NULL but rx_buf is not freed and there can be a memory leak.

The patch removes unnecessary nskb and makes skb processing more clear: it
is supposed that ath9k_htc_rx_msg() either frees old skb or passes its
managing to another callback function.

Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with Syzkaller.

134ae5eba4 wifi: ath9k: hif_usb: fix memory leak of urbs in ath9k_hif_usb_dealloc_tx_urbs()

Syzkaller reports a long-known leak of urbs in
ath9k_hif_usb_dealloc_tx_urbs().

The cause of the leak is that usb_get_urb() is called but usb_free_urb()
(or usb_put_urb()) is not called inside usb_kill_urb() as urb->dev or
urb->ep fields have not been initialized and usb_kill_urb() returns
immediately.

The patch removes trying to kill urbs located in hif_dev->tx.tx_buf
because hif_dev->tx.tx_buf is not supposed to contain urbs which are in
pending state (the pending urbs are stored in hif_dev->tx.tx_pending).
The tx.tx_lock is acquired so there should not be any changes in the list.

Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with Syzkaller.

1273604f3f wifi: mac80211_hwsim: fix debugfs attribute ps with rc table support

Fixes a warning that occurs when rc table support is enabled
(IEEE80211_HW_SUPPORTS_RC_TABLE) in mac80211_hwsim and the PS mode
is changed via the exported debugfs attribute.

When the PS mode is changed, a packet is broadcasted via
hwsim_send_nullfunc by creating and transmitting a plain skb with only
header initialized. The ieee80211 rate array in the control buffer is
zero-initialized. When ratetbl support is enabled, ieee80211_get_tx_rates
is called for the skb with sta parameter set to NULL and thus no
ratetbl can be used. The final rate array then looks like
[-1,0; 0,0; 0,0; 0,0] which causes the warning in ieee80211_get_tx_rate.

The issue is fixed by setting the count of the first rate with idx '0'
to 1 and hence ieee80211_get_tx_rates won't overwrite it with idx '-1'.

This patch fixes an intra-object buffer overflow in brcmfmac that occurs
when the device provides a 'bsscfgidx' equal to or greater than the
buffer size. The patch adds a check that leads to a safe failure if that
is the case.

This fixes CVE-2022-3628.

Found by comparing with the vendor driver. Currently this affects
only the RTL8192EU, which is the only gen2 chip with 2 TX paths
supported by this driver. It's unclear what kind of effect the
mistake had in practice, since I don't have any RTL8192EU devices

15604ab671 wifi: ath10k: add peer map clean up for peer delete in ath10k_sta_state()

When peer delete failed in a disconnect operation, use-after-free
detected by KFENCE in below log. It is because for each vdev_id and
address, it has only one struct ath10k_peer, it is allocated in
ath10k_peer_map_event(). When connected to an AP, it has more than
one HTT_T2H_MSG_TYPE_PEER_MAP reported from firmware, then the
array peer_map of struct ath10k will be set muti-elements to the
same ath10k_peer in ath10k_peer_map_event(). When peer delete failed
in ath10k_sta_state(), the ath10k_peer will be free for the 1st peer
id in array peer_map of struct ath10k, and then use-after-free happened
for the 2nd peer id because they map to the same ath10k_peer.

And clean up all peers in array peer_map for the ath10k_peer, then
user-after-free disappeared

5786262a4e carl9170: tx: fix an incorrect use of list iterator
commit 54a6f29522 upstream.

If the previous list_for_each_entry_continue_rcu() don't exit early
(no goto hit inside the loop), the iterator 'cvif' after the loop
will be a bogus pointer to an invalid structure object containing
the HEAD (&ar->vif_list). As a result, the use of 'cvif' after that
will lead to a invalid memory access (i.e., 'cvif->id': the invalid
pointer dereference when return back to/after the callsite in the
carl9170_update_beacon()).

The original intention should have been to return the valid 'cvif'
when found in list, NULL otherwise. So just return NULL when no
entry found, to fix this bug.

b5dca2cd3f rtl818x: Prevent using not initialized queues

Using not existing queues can panic the kernel with rtl8180/rtl8185 cards.
Ignore the skb priority for those cards, they only have one tx queue. Pierre
Asselin (pa@panix.com) reported the kernel crash in the Gentoo forum:

He also confirmed that this patch fixes the issue. In summary this happened:

After updating wpa_supplicant from 2.9 to 2.10 the kernel crashed with a
"divide error: 0000" when connecting to an AP. Control port tx now tries to
use IEEE80211_AC_VO for the priority, which wpa_supplicants starts to use in
2.10.

Since only the rtl8187se part of the driver supports QoS, the priority
of the skb is set to IEEE80211_AC_BE (2) by mac80211 for rtl8180/rtl8185
cards.

rtl8180 is then unconditionally reading out the priority and finally crashes on
drivers/net/wireless/realtek/rtl818x/rtl8180/dev.c line 544 without this
patch:
	idx = (ring->idx + skb_queue_len(&ring->queue)) % ring->entries

"ring->entries" is zero for rtl8180/rtl8185 cards, tx_ring[2] never got
initialized.

1d57be6b5d ath9k: fix QCA9561 PA bias level

This patch fixes an invalid TX PA DC bias level on QCA9561, which
results in a very low output power and very low throughput as devices
are further away from the AP (compared to other 2.4GHz APs).

This patch was suggested by Felix Fietkau, who noted[1]:
"The value written to that register is wrong, because while the mask
definition AR_CH0_TOP2_XPABIASLVL uses a different value for 9561, the
shift definition AR_CH0_TOP2_XPABIASLVL_S is hardcoded to 12, which is
wrong for 9561."

In real life testing, without this patch the 2.4GHz throughput on
Yuncore XD3200 is around 10Mbps sitting next to the AP, and closer to
practical maximum with the patch applied.

c79b41dca0 mwifiex: add mutex lock for call in mwifiex_dfs_chan_sw_work_queue

cfg80211_ch_switch_notify uses ASSERT_WDEV_LOCK to assert that
net_device->ieee80211_ptr->mtx (which is the same as priv->wdev.mtx)
is held during the function's execution.
mwifiex_dfs_chan_sw_work_queue is one of its callers, which does not
hold that lock, therefore violating the assertion.
Add a lock around the call.

Disclaimer:
I am currently working on a static analyser to detect missing locks.
This was a reported case. I manually verified the report by looking
at the code, so that I do not send wrong information or patches.
After concluding that this seems to be a true positive, I created
this patch.
However, as I do not in fact have this particular hardware,
I was unable to test it.

f4de974019 ath5k: fix OOB in ath5k_eeprom_read_pcal_info_5111

The bug was found during fuzzing. Stacktrace locates it in
ath5k_eeprom_convert_pcal_info_5111.
When none of the curve is selected in the loop, idx can go
up to AR5K_EEPROM_N_PD_CURVES. The line makes pd out of bound.
pd = &chinfo[pier].pd_curves[idx];

There are many OOB writes using pd later in the code. So I
added a sanity check for idx. Checks for other loops involving
AR5K_EEPROM_N_PD_CURVES are not needed as the loop index is not
used outside the loops.

The patch is NOT tested with real device.

Syzbot reported 2 KMSAN bugs in ath9k. All of them are caused by missing
field initialization.

In htc_connect_service() svc_meta_len and pad are not initialized. Based
on code it looks like in current skb there is no service data, so simply
initialize svc_meta_len to 0.

htc_issue_send() does not initialize htc_frame_hdr::control array. Based
on firmware code, it will initialize it by itself, so simply zero whole
array to make KMSAN happy

2c09bb3fdb brcmfmac: pcie: Replace brcmf_pcie_copy_mem_todev with memcpy_toio
commit 9466987f24 upstream.

The alignment check was wrong (e.g. & 4 instead of & 3), and the logic
was also inefficient if the length was not a multiple of 4, since it
would needlessly fall back to copying the entire buffer bytewise.

We already have a perfectly good memcpy_toio function, so just call that
instead of rolling our own copy logic here. brcmf_pcie_init_ringbuffers
was already using it anyway.

d8d80d3d2a brcmfmac: firmware: Allocate space for default boardrev in nvram

If boardrev is missing from the NVRAM we add a default one, but this
might need more space in the output buffer than was allocated. Ensure
we have enough padding for this in the buffer.

a0c906de1a carl9170: fix missing bit-wise or operator for tx_params
commit 02a95374b5 upstream.

Currently tx_params is being re-assigned with a new value and the
previous setting IEEE80211_HT_MCS_TX_RX_DIFF is being overwritten.
The assignment operator is incorrect, the original intent was to
bit-wise or the value in. Fix this by replacing the = operator
with |= instead.

Kudos to Christian Lamparter for suggesting the correct fix.
