8a62bc1c9a fbdev: uvesafb: Fixes an error handling path in uvesafb_probe()
[ Upstream commit a943710407 ]

If an error occurs after a successful uvesafb_init_mtrr() call, it must be
undone by a corresponding arch_phys_wc_del() call, as already done in the
remove function.

This has been added in the remove function in commit 63e28a7a5f

c0cdb87177 fbdev: ssd1307fb: Drop optional dependency
[ Upstream commit 025e3b507a ]

Only a single out of three devices need a PWM, so from driver it's
optional. Moreover it's a single driver in the entire kernel that
currently selects PWM. Unfortunately this selection is a root cause
of the circular dependencies when we want to enable optional PWM
for some other drivers that select GPIOLIB.

6f2075ea88 fbdev: smscufx: Fix several use-after-free bugs
commit cc67482c9e upstream.

Several types of UAFs can occur when physically removing a USB device.

Adds ufx_ops_destroy() function to .fb_destroy of fb_ops, and
in this function, there is kref_put() that finally calls ufx_free().

This fix prevents multiple UAFs.

347a969b13 fbdev: smscufx: Fix use-after-free in ufx_ops_open()
commit 5610bcfe86 upstream.

A race condition may occur if the user physically removes the
USB device while calling open() for this device node.

This is a race condition between the ufx_ops_open() function and
the ufx_usb_disconnect() function, which may eventually result in UAF.

So, add a mutex to the ufx_ops_open() and ufx_usb_disconnect() functions
to avoid race contidion of krefs.

6577e903a9 fbdev: fb_pm2fb: Avoid potential divide by zero error
commit 19f953e743 upstream.

In `do_fb_ioctl()` of fbmem.c, if cmd is FBIOPUT_VSCREENINFO, var will be
copied from user, then go through `fb_set_var()` and
`info->fbops->fb_check_var()` which could may be `pm2fb_check_var()`.
Along the path, `var->pixclock` won't be modified. This function checks
whether reciprocal of `var->pixclock` is too high. If `var->pixclock` is
zero, there will be a divide by zero error. So, it is necessary to check
whether denominator is zero to avoid crash. As this bug is found by
Syzkaller, logs are listed below.

Since the user can control the arguments of the ioctl() from the user

If the user provides an improper 'pixclock' value that makes the argumet

Fix this warning by using strscpy() which will silence the warning and
prevent any future buffer overflows should the names used to identify the
channel become much longer.

f9549a2cb2 video: fbdev: fbcvt.c: fix printing in fb_cvt_print_name()
[ Upstream commit 78482af095 ]

This code has two bugs:
1) "cnt" is 255 but the size of the buffer is 256 so the last byte is
   not used.
2) If we try to print more than 255 characters then "cnt" will be
   negative and that will trigger a WARN() in snprintf(). The fix for
   this is to use scnprintf() instead of snprintf().

We can re-write this code to be cleaner:
1) Rename "offset" to "off" because that's shorter.
2) Get rid of the "cnt" variable and just use "size - off" directly.
3) Get rid of the "read" variable and just increment "off" directly.

This is due to 'dcbz' instruction being used on non-cached memory.
'dcbz' instruction is used by memset() to zeroize a complete
cacheline at once, and memset() is not expected to be used on non
cached memory.

When performing a 'sparse' check on fbdev driver, it also appears
that the use of memset() is unexpected:

6e5f7ead44 fbmem: don't allow too huge resolutions
commit 8c28051cdc upstream.

syzbot is reporting page fault at vga16fb_fillrect() [1], for
vga16fb_check_var() is failing to detect multiplication overflow.

  if (vxres * vyres > maxmem) {
    vyres = maxmem / vxres;
    if (vyres < yres)
      return -ENOMEM;
  }

Since no module would accept too huge resolutions where multiplication
overflow happens, let's reject in the common path.

e787e97cb7 fbmem: add margin check to fb_check_caps()
commit a49145acfb upstream.

A fb_ioctl() FBIOPUT_VSCREENINFO call with invalid xres setting
or yres setting in struct fb_var_screeninfo will result in a
KASAN: vmalloc-out-of-bounds failure in bitfill_aligned() as
the margins are being cleared. The margins are cleared in
chunks and if the xres setting or yres setting is a value of
zero upto the chunk size, the failure will occur.

Add a margin check to validate xres and yres settings.
