commit4f704d9a83upstream. We've aligned setgid behavior over multiple kernel releases. The details can be found in the following two merge messages:cf619f8919("Merge tag 'fs.ovl.setgid.v6.2')426b4ca2d6("Merge tag 'fs.setgid.v6.0') Consistent setgid stripping behavior is now encapsulated in the setattr_should_drop_sgid() helper which is used by all filesystems that strip setgid bits outside of vfs proper. Switch nfs to rely on this helper as well. Without this patch the setgid stripping tests in xfstests will fail. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
