[ Upstream commit8609f5cfdc] ADF_STATUS_PF_RUNNING is (only) used and checked by adf_vf2pf_shutdown() before calling adf_iov_putmsg()->mutex_lock(vf2pf_lock), however the vf2pf_lock is initialized in adf_dev_init(), which can fail and when it fail, the vf2pf_lock is either not initialized or destroyed, a subsequent use of vf2pf_lock will cause issue. To fix this issue, only set this flag if adf_dev_init() returns 0. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
