[ Upstream commit6c2d4798a8] Most of the callers of lookup_one_len_unlocked() treat negatives are ERR_PTR(-ENOENT). Provide a helper that would do just that. Note that a pinned positive dentry remains positive - it's ->d_inode is stable, etc.; a pinned _negative_ dentry can become positive at any point as long as you are not holding its parent at least shared. So using lookup_one_len_unlocked() needs to be careful; lookup_positive_unlocked() is safer and that's what the callers end up open-coding anyway. be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
