[ Upstream commit70dd83d737] Read back Status Register 1 to ensure that the written byte match the received value and return -EIO if read back test failed. Without this patch, spi_nor_write_16bit_sr_and_check() only check the second half of the 16bit. It causes errors like spi_nor_sr_unlock() return success incorrectly when spi_nor_write_16bit_sr_and_check() doesn't write SR successfully. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
