When we get an interrupt for a channel program, it is not necessarily the final interrupt; for example, the issuing guest may request an intermediate interrupt by specifying the program-controlled-interrupt flag on a ccw. We must not switch the state to idle if the interrupt is not yet final; even more importantly, we must not free the translated channel program if the interrupt is not yet final, or the host can crash during cp rewind. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
