The recent futex inode life time fix changed the ordering of the futex key union struct members, but forgot to adjust the hash function accordingly, As a result the hashing omits the leading 64bit and even hashes beyond the futex key causing a bad hash distribution which led to a ~100% performance regression. Hand in the futex key pointer instead of a random struct member and make the size calculation based of the struct offset. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
