[ Upstream commit57ac51667d] On Qualcomm ARM32 platforms, the SMC call can return before it has completed. If this occurs, the call can be restarted, but it requires using the returned session ID value from the interrupted SMC call. The ARM32 SMCC code already has the provision to add platform specific quirks for things like this. So let's make use of it and add the Qualcomm specific quirk (ARM_SMCCC_QUIRK_QCOM_A6) used by the QCOM_SCM driver. This change is similar to the below one added for ARM64 a while ago: commit82bcd08702("firmware: qcom: scm: Fix interrupted SCM calls") Without this change, the Qualcomm ARM32 platforms like SDX55 will return -EINVAL for SMC calls used for modem firmware loading and validation. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
