commitfe32416790upstream. In case of tty_ldisc_reinit() failure, tty->count should be decremented back, otherwise we will never release_tty(). Tetsuo reported that it fixes noisy warnings on tty release like: pts pts4033: tty_release: tty->count(10529) != (#fd's(7) + #kopen's(0)) Fixes: commit892d1fa7ea("tty: Destroy ldisc instance on hangup") Cc: stable@vger.kernel.org # v4.6+ Cc: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org> Cc: Jiri Slaby <jslaby@suse.com> Reviewed-by: Jiri Slaby <jslaby@suse.cz> Tested-by: Jiri Slaby <jslaby@suse.com> Tested-by: Mark Rutland <mark.rutland@arm.com> Tested-by: Tetsuo Handa <penguin-kernel@i-love.sakura.ne.jp> Signed-off-by: Dmitry Safonov <dima@arista.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
