commit5e93a125f5upstream. Since the commitc647f806b8("ALSA: hda - Allow multiple ADCs for mic mute LED controls") we allow enabling the mic mute LED with multiple ADCs. The commit changed the function return value to be zero or a negative error, while this change was overlooked in the thinkpad_acpi helper code where it still expects a positive return value for success. This eventually leads to a NULL dereference on a system that has only a mic mute LED. This patch corrects the return value check in the corresponding code as well. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
