There is currently no way to convey the affinity of an interrupt via irq_create_mapping(), which creates issues for devices that expect that affinity to be managed by the kernel. In order to sort this out, rename irq_create_mapping() to irq_create_mapping_affinity() with an additional affinity parameter that can be passed down to irq_domain_alloc_descs(). irq_create_mapping() is re-implemented as a wrapper around irq_create_mapping_affinity(). No functional change. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
