[ Upstream commit5efc6fa904] /proc/cpuinfo currently reports Hardware Lock Elision (HLE) feature to be present on boot cpu even if it was disabled during the bootup. This is because cpuinfo_x86->x86_capability HLE bit is not updated after TSX state is changed via the new MSR IA32_TSX_CTRL. Update the cached HLE bit also since it is expected to change after an update to CPUID_CLEAR bit in MSR IA32_TSX_CTRL. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
