commit144783a80cupstream. Converting from ms to s requires dividing by 1000, not multiplying. So this is currently taking the smaller of new_timeout and 1.28e8, i.e. effectively new_timeout. The driver knows what it set max_hw_heartbeat_ms to, so use that value instead of doing a division at run-time. FWIW, this can easily be tested by booting into a busybox shell and doing "watchdog -t 5 -T 130 /dev/watchdog" - without this patch, the watchdog fires after 130&127 == 2 seconds. be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
