commit6ecb78ef56upstream. Previously, only IBAT1 and IBAT2 were used to map kernel linear mem. Since commit63b2bc6195("powerpc/mm/32s: Use BATs for STRICT_KERNEL_RWX"), we may have all 8 BATs used for mapping kernel text. But the suspend/restore functions only save/restore BATs 0 to 3, and clears BATs 4 to 7. Make suspend and restore functions respectively save and reload the 8 BATs on CPUs having MMU_FTR_USE_HIGH_BATS feature. be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
