commit076ed3da0cupstream. commit40413955ee("Cipso: cipso_v4_optptr enter infinite loop") fixed a possible infinite loop in the IP option parsing of CIPSO. The fix assumes that ip_options_compile filtered out all zero length options and that no other one-byte options beside IPOPT_END and IPOPT_NOOP exist. While this assumption currently holds true, add explicit checks for zero length and invalid length options to be safe for the future. Even though ip_options_compile should have validated the options, the introduction of new one-byte options can still confuse this code without the additional checks. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
