[ Upstream commit b3aa619a8b4706f35cb62f780c14e68796b37f3f ] Since commit24778be20f("spi: convert drivers to use bits_per_word_mask") the bits_per_word variable is only written to. The check that was there before isn't needed any more as the spi core ensures that only 8 bit transfers are used, so the variable can go away together with all assignments to it. be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
