If the available hardware exceeds DMAR_UNITS_SUPPORTED (previously set to MAX_IO_APICS, or 128), it causes these messages: "DMAR: Failed to allocate seq_id", "DMAR: Parse DMAR table failure.", and "x2apic: IRQ remapping doesn't support X2APIC mode x2apic disabled"; and the system fails to boot properly. To support up to 64 sockets with 10 DMAR units each (640), make the value of DMAR_UNITS_SUPPORTED default 1024. be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
