This change provides a simpler implementation of mte_get_mem_tag(), mte_get_random_tag(), and mte_set_mem_tag_range(). Simplifications include removing system_supports_mte() checks as these functions are onlye called from KASAN runtime that had already checked system_supports_mte(). Besides that, size and address alignment checks are removed from mte_set_mem_tag_range(), as KASAN now does those. This change also moves these functions into the asm/mte-kasan.h header and implements mte_set_mem_tag_range() via inline assembly to avoid unnecessary functions calls. be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
