[ Upstream commit4d19db777a] Calling napi_schedule() from process context does not ensure that the NET_RX softirq is run in a timely fashion. So trigger it manually. This is no big issue with current code. A call to ndo_open() is usually followed by a ndo_set_rx_mode() call, and for qeth this contains a spin_unlock_bh(). Except for OSN, where qeth_l2_set_rx_mode() bails out early. Nevertheless it's best to not depend on this behaviour, and just fix the issue at its source like all other drivers do. For instance see commit83a0c6e589("i40e: Invoke softirqs after napi_reschedule"). Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
