[ Upstream commit4226961b00] Currently if a declaration appears in the BTF before the definition, the definition is dumped as a conflicting name, e.g.: $ bpftool btf dump file vmlinux format raw | grep "'unix_sock'" [81287] FWD 'unix_sock' fwd_kind=struct [89336] STRUCT 'unix_sock' size=1024 vlen=14 $ bpftool btf dump file vmlinux format c | grep "struct unix_sock" struct unix_sock; struct unix_sock___2 { <--- conflict, the "___2" is unexpected struct unix_sock___2 *unix_sk; This causes a compilation error if the dump output is used as a header file. Fix it by skipping declaration when counting duplicated type names. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
