If a dentry's version is somewhere between invalid_before and the current directory version, we should be setting it forward to the current version, not backwards to the invalid_before version. Note that we're only doing this at all because dentry::d_fsdata isn't large enough on a 32-bit system. Fix this by using a separate variable for invalid_before so that we don't accidentally clobber the current dir version. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
