commitd17ba0f616upstream. Driver does not want to keep packets in Tx queue when link is lost. But present code only reset NIC to flush them, but does not prevent queuing new packets. Moreover reset sequence itself could generate new packets via netconsole and NIC falls into endless reset loop. This patch wakes Tx queue only when NIC is ready to send packets. This is proper fix for problem addressed by commit0f9e980bf5("e1000e: fix cyclic resets at link up with active tx"). Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
