This is currently off and that's not desirable: default imx config is meant to be generally useful for development and debugging. Running git bisect between v5.4 and v5.5-rc1 finds this started from commit0e4a459f56("tracing: Remove unnecessary DEBUG_FS dependency") Explicit CONFIG_DEBUG_FS=y was earlier removed by commitc29d541f59("ARM: imx_v6_v7_defconfig: Remove unneeded options") A very similar fix was required before: commit7e9eb62688("ARM: imx_v6_v7_defconfig: Explicitly restore CONFIG_DEBUG_FS") Signed-off-by: Leonard Crestez <leonard.crestez@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
