[ Upstream commit4b6c6065fc] The open code is defined as a helper function(tp_to_dev) on r8169_main.c, which the open code is &tp->pci_dev->dev. The helper function was added in commit1e1205b7d3("r8169: add helper tp_to_dev"). And then later, commitf1e911d5d0("r8169: add basic phylib support") added r8169_phylink_handler function but it didn't use the helper function. Thus, tp_to_dev() replaces the open code. This patch doesn't change logic. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
