commit7ee31a3aa8upstream. Commit36dadef23f("kprobes: Init kprobes in early_initcall") enabled using kprobes from early_initcall. Unfortunately at this point the hardware debug infrastructure is not operational. The OS lock may still be locked, and the hardware watchpoints may have unknown values when kprobe enables debug monitors to single-step instructions. Rather than using hardware single-step, append a BRK instruction after the instruction to be executed out-of-line. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
