commit5241ab4cf4upstream. CLANG_FLAGS is initialized by the following line: CLANG_FLAGS := --target=$(notdir $(CROSS_COMPILE:%-=%)) ..., which is run only when CROSS_COMPILE is set. Some build targets (bindeb-pkg etc.) recurse to the top Makefile. When you build the kernel with Clang but without CROSS_COMPILE, the same compiler flags such as -no-integrated-as are accumulated into CLANG_FLAGS. If you run 'make CC=clang' and then 'make CC=clang bindeb-pkg', Kbuild will recompile everything needlessly due to the build command change. Fix this by correctly initializing CLANG_FLAGS. be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
