commit3c91ef69a3upstream. Return -EPERM if reg_read is NULL in bin_attr_nvmem_read() or if reg_write is NULL in bin_attr_nvmem_write(). This prevents NULL dereferences such as the one described in03cd45d2e2("thunderbolt: Prevent crash if non-active NVMem file is read") Signed-off-by: Nicholas Johnson <nicholas.johnson-opensource@outlook.com.au> Cc: stable <stable@vger.kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Srinivas Kandagatla <srinivas.kandagatla@linaro.org> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20200310132257.23358-10-srinivas.kandagatla@linaro.org Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
