[ Upstream commit7b36f4d18e] Change commit sequence will impact all ASICs. It is prudent to run this update in small steps to keep issues under control and avoid any potential regression. With this idea in mind, this commit is preparation work for the complete transition to the new commit sequence. To maintain this change manageable across multiple ASICs, this commit adds a new function named dc_commit_streams which is a copy of the dc_commit_state with some minor changes. Finally, inside the dc_commit_state, we check if we are using DCN32x or above and enable the new sequence only for those devices. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
