commitec0bbc5ec5upstream. The wake up waiters only checks the "wakeup_full" variable and not the "full_waiters_pending". The full_waiters_pending is set when a waiter is added to the wait queue. The wakeup_full is only set when an event is triggered, and it clears the full_waiters_pending to avoid multiple calls to irq_work_queue(). The irq_work callback really needs to check both wakeup_full as well as full_waiters_pending such that this code can be used to wake up waiters when a file is closed that represents the ring buffer and the waiters need to be woken up. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
