[ Upstream commit14e3e989f6] Since commit36e2c7421f("fs: don't allow splice read/write without explicit ops") we've required that file operation structures explicitly enable splice support, rather than falling back to the default handlers. Most /proc files use the indirect 'struct proc_ops' to describe their file operations, and were fixed up to support splice earlier in commits 40be821d627c..b24c30c67863, but the mountinfo files interact with the VFS directly using their own 'struct file_operations' and got missed as a result. This adds the necessary support for splice to work for /proc/*/mountinfo and friends. be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
