Synopsys' ARCompact architecture does not support loading from or storing values to unaligned memory locations. We saw a series of misaligned access exceptions on ARC. To work around this issue, we bulk replaced le16_to_cpu and le32_to_cpu with get_unaligned_le16 and get_unaligned_le32, respectively. We also added le16_unaligned_add_cpu which is similar to le16_add_cpu but works with unaligned values. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
