commit 83261934015c434fabb980a3e613b01d9976e877 upstream. Commit42cdf6f687("drm/amdgpu/gfx8: always restore kcq MQDs") made the ring pointer always to be reset on resume from suspend. This caused compute rings to fail since the reset was done without also resetting it for the firmware. Reset wptr on the GPU to avoid a disconnect between the driver and firmware wptr. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
