commit cf7385cb26ac4f0ee6c7385960525ad534323252 upstream.
In of_modalias(), if the buffer happens to be too small even for the 1st
snprintf() call, the len parameter will become negative and str parameter
(if not NULL initially) will point beyond the buffer's end. Add the buffer
overflow check after the 1st snprintf() call and fix such check after the
strlen() call (accounting for the terminating NUL char).
Fixes: bc575064d6 ("of/device: use of_property_for_each_string to parse compatible strings")

Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
