[ Upstream commitffab487052] Since commitbb30acae4c("perf report: Bail out --mem-mode if mem info is not available") "perf mem report" and "perf report --mem-mode" don't allow opening the file unless one of the events has PERF_SAMPLE_DATA_SRC set. SPE doesn't have this set even though synthetic memory data is generated after it is decoded. Fix this issue by setting DATA_SRC on SPE events. This has no effect on the data collected because the SPE driver doesn't do anything with that flag and doesn't generate samples. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
