The various vfs_*() helpers are called by filesystems or by the vfs itself to perform core operations such as create, link, mkdir, mknod, rename, rmdir, tmpfile and unlink. Enable them to handle idmapped mounts. If the inode is accessed through an idmapped mount map it into the mount's user namespace and pass it down. Afterwards the checks and operations are identical to non-idmapped mounts. If the initial user namespace is passed nothing changes so non-idmapped mounts will see identical behavior as before. be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
