Following commit73e86cb03c("arm64: Move PTE_RDONLY bit handling out of set_pte_at()"), the PTE_RDONLY bit is no longer managed by set_pte_at() but built into the PAGE_* attribute definitions. Consequently, pte_same() must include this bit when checking two PTEs for equality. Remove the arm64-specific pte_same() function, practically reverting commit747a70e60b("arm64: Fix copy-on-write referencing in HugeTLB") Fixes:73e86cb03c("arm64: Move PTE_RDONLY bit handling out of set_pte_at()") Cc: <stable@vger.kernel.org> # 4.14.x- Cc: Will Deacon <will@kernel.org> Cc: Steve Capper <steve.capper@arm.com> Reported-by: John Stultz <john.stultz@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com> Signed-off-by: Will Deacon <will@kernel.org>

Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
