commitaeb8724653upstream. All mapping iterator logic is based on the assumption that sg->offset is always lower than PAGE_SIZE. But there are situations where sg->offset is such that the SG item is on the second page. In that case sg_copy_to_buffer() fails properly copying the data into the buffer. One of the reason is that the data will be outside the kmapped area used to access that data. This patch fixes the issue by adjusting the mapping iterator offset and pgoffset fields such that offset is always lower than PAGE_SIZE. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
